Isle of wight amazing show I was at the front row in 2023 I really enjoyed this event
Really enjoyed this event. The music, food, the rides. Facilities were good too. Shops on site could be better. A great trip away
Music and lineup is fantastic. The sound quality from the stages is perfect and loud. Recommend getting earbuds as I'm sure I've got hearing problems now LOL lots of supreme camping and watching the main stage. Only criticism the food is pathetic and seems to be incredibly fast food that is either cheap or old. There is a few decent independent food vendors. Would've liked some more activities going on around, however, I will be going back again next year.
This was our second year and we decided to cycle in from a campsite, the only big problem was the massive lack of secure bike racks. More and more people are cycling and the facilities were very lacking. By the time we came out at night, bikes were chained up two or three deep and you couldn't get your bike out. If you want to be seen to be helping the environment and supporting the people who cycle please, please put in a huge amount of cycling facilities to encourage bicycles and make it nicer for us and put some lighting in to make it more secure. There were some very expensive bikes there, please don't deter people from arriving that way.
2025 was a perfect festival so well organised although sinage to campsite as green yellow this way ect a big thank you to Oxfam for directions and observation towers made us so safe Lovely meals the oriental chowmain so lovely and fresh The sky bar FAB , pims bus lovely. Main stage well organised, a 5 star festival for all the family
Great music but need to mix up main acts times on some days, as couldn't get between big top and main stage in time to see them. Also why are prams and trolleys with small children going into large crowds and camping chairs. Got squashed many times against the railings. Need to mark out seating areas better so walkways are protected. Agree river stage too close to main stage so two types music merged so sounded bad.
Loved & enjoyed immensely this music long weekend festival every year since 2001 excluding of covid years 20-21 So much diverse music theres something for everyone to get your music vibes pumping .l love soaking up the sun while listening to great music either sat on the grass or jumping up & down dancing & singing at the top of my voice to great music . There are lots of different music stages to choose from all within walking distance from each other . Lots of people dress up some lovely sights to see . Most people are lovely you meet & most people look after each other & share stories such a lovely atmosphere . Camp sites people singing playing guitars party people dancing enjoying themselves into the night. Have seen some iconic awesome acts over the years some of those artists aren't with us now so we member how great they were each time I revisit this festival . The memory tent of years before was great a few years go i didnt see it this year .IOW Fest was very family friendly in early years 2001+ years lots on for familes sand sulptures were a big hit . Then the tide changed - the Prodigy came twice that changed the crowd & atmospher & safety For people. Festival seems much more calm & much nicerer with out harsh music bands there . Most stages have a great view definitely front of stage view is a pinch moment when artists come along the crowd or in the crowd to see you . End of the night we tend to finish up in the electro love 80s tent great venue to dance the night away into the night. Healthier Food has been introduced & improved over the years. Farm foods was very popular .Great to finally get the Coop on site food drink on tap . Although 20 minute walk to newport not to bad to look round shops & pubs & restaurants cafes etc .Shame the coop app click collect had issues 2025 - maybe have buy options aswell to cater for people with no tech & those not wanting to go into town to get essentials needs even though there are buses. Facilties have improved over the years -cleaner WC 's . Pimms o'clock always popular - No show 2025. Noticeable change not great can i ask why has the stage been highered ? & the camera crew now in front of the crowd ? Instead of in their own lower section of the stage ? It realky anoyed a lot of the crowd fest 2025 as artists sang 3/4 songs before the photographers left . Usually the artists best songs . Photographs used to be in special area between the crowd & stage at a lower level .so didnt impact the crowd so much . Now they stand in front of crowd's view & so many of them on ladders also or boxes so impossible to see the artist or band . Have loved the family feel festival for over 20 years , however i feel the festival over last couple of years is not so family friendly now. The way that it is now being run attracts more young adults & less family,s just like Reading & Leeds festive . No space to get out of crowd at times as too many people & chairs from left to right , needs better organising like years before. They had better clear walk ways . Some children lost their parents this year no hope of finding them ourselves too many people . We had to help them find security . Lots of young girls fainted this year also wondered why must have been heat & excitement as no drink drugs present . Has it changed hands as there were many changes this year .? Shower opening time ridiculous 9am instead of 6am every other year esp as more people go to festive now . people up early used to go for shower not queueing past when the sun comes up between 7-8 . Food outlets charging £2.50 for cup of hot water used to be £1 .lockers were £20 last year £45 this year .posh loos showers were £50 few years ago now £70 I guess there will always be change. But these increases are big !! I realky enjoy the festival every year look forward to it even though i dont know the line up when i book as i book early . Love meeting up with friends & festive friends from prevoius years lovely vibes. Always have a great time love hearing new music as well as great bands i love . I brought my own kids years ago but how much change has happened I would think twice about bringing my youngish grand children.
Another Fantastic Festival. Staff were helpful and friendly. Pink Moon Camping didn't disappoint. Choice of music phenomenal. Just one consideration for future. Can artists on River Stage play in between Main Stage artists. We sat at side of Big Wheel with River Stage to the right and we couldn't hear the Main Stage artists when River Stage was playing. Can't wait for Festival 2026.
IOW is my go to Festival. I love it and it did not disappoint again this year. The main acts this year were amazing again, but I also love the variety of stages with new up and coming bands and acts. These areas are usually less busy and its nice to listen to them in a more chilled zone. I think food and drink is reasonable considering you're at a Festival, and there are plenty of places to choose from. One massive issue this year was the number of camping chairs which caused chaos. The main stage is always busy but this year there were so many more camping chairs and rugs which spilled on to the walkways. Unfortunately people didn't care as long as they got 'their spot'. There were people walking away from the main act, people walking to the next main acts, mixing with the queues for the Main Stage food areas with people sat in their spots unwilling to budge. There were narrow bottlenecks, people having to spill over to the 'happy campers and their chairs'. It was chaos at times. The Festival needs to sort this out before there's a nasty accident. There were even camping chairs in the Big Top!! Unbelievable. It's selfish and unfortunately when one person does it, people are like sheep and copy. I imagine next year could be even more chaotic if walkways are not enforced and marked out better.
It was my first time at Isle Of Wight festival and overall I loved it. The music and atmosphere were great. The one issue I have has been mentioned before is the lack of organisation in relation to the flow of people going to and from the main arena. On one day I was sat to the right of the stage near the entrance to the VIP bar and 100's of people would just walk straight through the seating area where others were sat so they could get to where they were going a few seconds quicker. The flow of traffic needs to be improved to make the whole experience that bit better.
