  • Great festival

by Suzanne on 25/06/2025Isle of Wight Festival - NewportRating: 4 out of 5

Overall very good! Would prefer bigger names headlining rather than older artists but most of the sets were very enjoyable! Bit disappointed with the free shower set up in green camping - the first day not scheduled to open until 0900 and after that about 0800 yet the showers that are paid for opened at 0600!! Quite annoyed by this as not everyone wants to or can afford to pay for showers!!

  • Top easy fun festival IOW 2025

by Ladylush ABF on 25/06/2025Rating: 5 out of 5

So much fun, well organised & reasonably priced compared to others. Always a great line up, accessible to many. For 2025 organisers may need to rethink the chairs & picnic blanket rules around main stage. Also the supermarket situation - click & collect clearly doesn't work.

  • Great line up

by KAL on 24/06/2025Rating: 5 out of 5

Great line up, weather was fantastic, atmosphere electric! this was my first festival at 55 but won't be the last got the bug now just love live music! A few little issues that need ironing out, is getting to the stages not enough time sometimes to catch the next band you either have to miss end of one or start of the other ! One way system, pathways not wide enough walking between stages why can't people just keep left! Not enough toilets! Car parking needs organising all campers staying should park one area, all day weekenders coming and going in another so you don't have to constantly need to back fill, also keeping roads from backing up. Get cars in direct straight to space, use attendants to help park up in rows, then follow up with another member of staff to check tickets this way cars can keep flowing!! Leaving site no staff to help getting out into road, it's a free for all and long delays! Cars parking in the lane for pick up next to field car park should have been ticketed, they caused delays for A2 exit as they had to turn around blocking the road!

  • Great atmosphere let down by too many chairs & bottle necks.

by Jimmer on 24/06/2025Rating: 3 out of 5

IOW festival 2025 was very good but effort has to be made in the future to reduce the shear number of chairs at the event. It's getting worse for the number of chairs year on year and trying to get to the bar or the loo becomes a unsolvable navigation puzzle at times. Also, please can walk ways adjacent to ferris wheel be widened as we had to walk through numerous food queues to get past. It just felt like too many people this year. Score- 6/10 marks knocked off for chairs and bottle necks through food queues.

  • Absolutely outstanding experience

by RichardMG on 24/06/2025Isle of Wight Festival - NewportRating: 5 out of 5

As a first time festival goer I was blown away with the whole experience. The music was a really eclectic mix and every artist gave their all. We can't wait to book again for next year.

  • Mostly great but needs a few tweaks

by Vick on 24/06/2025Isle of Wight Festival - NewportRating: 4 out of 5

Went to the festival to celebrate my 50th birthday. Had been once before a couple of years ago. Bands were fabulous in most cases. However, this year it seemed much busier than usual which meant more queuing for toilets and food/drink. This is usually to be expected but it felt like there was no room to move when in the main stage area. Two additional tents were nearby and if you were too far back from the main stage you couldn't hear the bands due to the noise from these two other tents. However you couldn't get closer to the main stage due to the sheer volume of people. All staff around the site were great and were trying their best in a challenging situation. It definitely was not this busy the last time we came so perhaps the additional tickets sold were making this so different. Great choice in terms of food and drink but a pint was almost £7 which seemed a bit excessive. Often, in some of the bars, it was not pints but cans of cider/lager but the price was still £6.50. When a four pack costs less than this I am unsure how the prices can be justified. The site was very clean every morning showing that the staff work so hard when everyone has left to get it ready for the next day. Overall we had a good time but worried that this festival might be growing too big which might put us off in the future.

  • A fantastic festival experience

by DorsetDeb on 24/06/2025Isle of Wight Festival - NewportRating: 5 out of 5

Just returned as first time festival goers and have had such a great time. Very well organised event with an amazing choice of acts to see. We chose Pink Moon camping that gave us some luxuries and security. We will definitely go again.

  • Amazing Experience

by MB76 on 23/06/2025Isle of Wight Festival - NewportRating: 5 out of 5

Really good festival. Great acts, food, drink and facilities!

  • Highs & Lows

by T2 Tracy on 23/06/2025Isle of Wight Festival - NewportRating: 4 out of 5

Overall a great festival with something for everyone. Big favourites for me were Midge Ure (awsome), JT of course (fabulous), Tom Meighan (wow!), Paul Heaton (so sincere), Amble (so talented) &Clause (young Brummie band - fab) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Some fantastic lounges to chill & groove with a great food & drink offer - big up to the Kashmir Lounge 👌 It did feel a bit like 2 different festivals. The main stage area was often unpleasant; chaotic & difficult to get in & out of due to excessive chairs which just spread without boundaries - this needs to be addressed in the future since it raised many health & safety issues. In contrast the other area siting the big top, other stages and lounges was just lovely & felt like a proper chilled out festival with no stress - just sheer enjoyment 👌

  • Busier every year and quality deteriorating

by Harrison on 23/06/2025Isle of Wight Festival - NewportRating: 3 out of 5

There appear to be more and more people at the Festival, each year despite the published numbers. I've been for the last 9 Festivals. The toilet facilities are inadequate (not enough) and the crowd management is poor with people blocking designated paths, stopping access and departure from the main stage area. There appeared to be more security staff which was a good thing

  • Music bonaza

by Eternaile on 23/06/2025Isle of Wight Festival - NewportRating: 3 out of 5

We booked in general camping and also bought the nature calls package. We arrived on the Thursday for weekend camping. We had good neighbours and the camp site was well managed by crews for refuge showers toilets etc. Charging and locker station also available in the campsite. The enthusiasm of the stewards from the Oxfam team were great organisers and giving information and checking on campers on the site. The biggest issue was the amount of dust and pathways that were made of rubble, I saw how it wrecked havoc on some trollies, so maybe better to hire the metal and air filled tyres which made ease of all broken ruble paths. Security was hit and miss, bottle neck queues in the high temperatures from camp site to the festival was a huge frustration for many. The chairs not allowed rule in the festival was a joke......there were many .....people set up there own camp in the festival near main stage and asked to take them down but re- erected them. Many complaints heard around us. We had a night mare trying to get in and out to the bars and then try to get back into the area where friends waiting....there needs to a better strategic system with exit ....entry on the outer area of main stage. I get it's very controversial about the chairs ......rule with exceptions...chair tagging and designated areas only for families and the elderly. I know disabled individuals had to wait in the same q for the bar and had long waits. There is much to improve....for example golf buggies racing by and having priority over footfall causing so dust!!!! You could taste it. A sprinkler truck spraying down the dust during the night or wood shavings instead of rubble would make the very long walk from car park to camp site and then into festival ground more pleasant. Music was great but fair ground rides should in my opinion not have loud music as it does interfere with listening to music in the tearoom, Kashmir and hipshaker lounger. One more thing....CO-OP was rubbish, limited choice and the click and collect app did not work.....unable to buy any booze for campsite and told my friends not needed as can buy at co-op when we get there !!!!! Total rubbish not having the rave/ party vibe co-op !!!!

  • Saturday show - day tickets

by EP on 23/06/2025Isle of Wight Festival - NewportRating: 3 out of 5

We travelled by ferry from Southampton, on arriving we were disappointed to find that the two bands that we wanted to see most were on too late in the day for us to catch the ferry back. We did enjoy other bands but it wasn't as good as in the past and decided to take an earlier ferry home. A learning experience!

  • Great festival

by SjB on 23/06/2025Isle of Wight Festival - NewportRating: 4 out of 5

I had a great time and enjoyed the various acts. Paul Merton was fab! Overall, the experience was positive, but it was a little overcrowded and congested when trying to leave the main stage area.

  • Great weekend

by Allan on 23/06/2025Isle of Wight Festival - NewportRating: 5 out of 5

Always a great weekend. We have been regulars since 2016 and planning on keeping on going. Always something to do throughout the day and music to suit all tastes.

  • Lovely chilled atmosphere

by BumbleT on 23/06/2025Isle of Wight Festival - NewportRating: 5 out of 5

What a great festival. Facilities were great, well maintained with friendly staff throughout the venues. The variety of acts was great. Something for everyone. Plenty of food stands, entertainment, water stations and trees for shade. Everything was finished and quiet by 2am and the mornings were chilled. So well organised.!! P. So. The glorious weather helped too😁

  • Too many blankets and trolleys

by H2o on 23/06/2025Isle of Wight Festival - NewportRating: 4 out of 5

Ive been going to the festival for the last 15 years and never had a problem each year you have made things easier by learning from your mistakes and putting it right this year you left the fairground rides out off the main arena perfect doesnt mater were you stand you can hear the bands now do something about the amount of people sitting around blankets not on them and bringing in trolley loads of supplies and almost setting up camp where 4 people take up the space of a dozen. there needs to be more walkways which i know would be difficult to marshal but moving around this year was ridiculous, anyone that had mobility issues had no chance
