Hugely influential songwriter, producer and guitarist and co-founder of CHIC

Nile Rodgers is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and a multiple Grammy Award winning songwriter, composer, producer, arranger, and guitarist.

In 2023 he became the first creator to be awarded a Lifetime Achievement Grammy for his legacy in the same year as being awarded a Grammy for his new work with BeyoncĂ© on the smash hit ‘Cuff It.’

As the co-founder of CHIC, Nile pioneered a musical language that generated chart-topping hits like ‘Le Freak’, the biggest selling single in the history of Atlantic Records and sparked the advent of hip hop with ‘Good Times’ and ‘Rapper’s Delight.’ His work in The CHIC Organisation, including ‘We Are Family’ for Sister Sledge and ‘I’m Coming Out’ for Diana Ross, and his productions for artists such as David Bowie (‘Let’s Dance’), Madonna (‘Like A Virgin’) and Duran Duran (‘The Reflex’), have sold more than 500 million albums and 100 million singles worldwide. In 2023, Nile Rodgers & CHIC announced a string of UK shows for the following summer.

    The place was fired up. Nile Rodgers and Chic were on target. The crowd was dancing throughout the whole show. It was a full house for this event. Niles & Chic aimed to please. They delivered a grand performance. Bravo!!!

    What a concert, this guy is mega talented, the amount of music he has produced is mind blowing, plus his interaction with the audience was first class. Lovely guy with so much energy. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.

    Second time I have seen Niles & Chic at the City Hall and this time was even better!!!! Never stopped dancing and the atmosphere was brilliant đŸ€© Superb sound and the best venue absolutely loved it!!

    A well marshalled event at Newcastle City Hall with pleasant, helpful staff (quite rare these days). The artists and music was totally outstanding. Nile Rodgers & Chic have been on my bucket list for so long and they didn't disappoint. If you have an opportunity to catch this amazing band then do, I cannot more highly recommend. đŸ‘ŒđŸŒ

    A must see DECO, Sophie Ellis B and Nile Rodgers & CHIC, didn't want it to end. We danced and sang the night away. Brought happy tears to my eyes as some of the songs and meanings behind them meant so much to me and I know they mean so much to Nile. Thank you for a fantastic evening. Will definitely book again.
