Hugely influential songwriter, producer and guitarist and co-founder of CHIC
Nile Rodgers is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and a multiple Grammy Award winning songwriter, composer, producer, arranger, and guitarist.
In 2023 he became the first creator to be awarded a Lifetime Achievement Grammy for his legacy in the same year as being awarded a Grammy for his new work with Beyoncé on the smash hit ‘Cuff It.’
As the co-founder of CHIC, Nile pioneered a musical language that generated chart-topping hits like ‘Le Freak’, the biggest selling single in the history of Atlantic Records and sparked the advent of hip hop with ‘Good Times’ and ‘Rapper’s Delight.’ His work in The CHIC Organisation, including ‘We Are Family’ for Sister Sledge and ‘I’m Coming Out’ for Diana Ross, and his productions for artists such as David Bowie (‘Let’s Dance’), Madonna (‘Like A Virgin’) and Duran Duran (‘The Reflex’), have sold more than 500 million albums and 100 million singles worldwide. In 2023, Nile Rodgers & CHIC announced a string of UK shows for the following summer.

Great line up. DECO warmed the square up, Sophie Ellis Bexter got us dancing in the kitchen and Nile, with Chic, just blew us all away. Great night, thanks to ALL.
Greta concert, in every way. The bands were awesome. great sound and great music. Only complaint was around the bringing in a water. Not allowed unless it is in sealed, unopened bottle.
Well what can one say apart from Nile & Chic we're out of this world. I've seen them countless times and each time they don't disappoint! The sun was shining and the bubbles were consumed. Overall a wonderful experience. Well done to all the staff involved too as it all ran very smoothly. Bring on Janet Jackson in September!! 👌🏼
Fabulous set, great venue loved Sophie Ellis Bextor as warm up… nile Rogers what a legend
Just FABULOUS the support acts where all so good Sophie Ellis Bexter was so good for the warm up
Sophie Ellis-Bextor was excellent. I am a huge fan of Nile Rodgers and Chic. Have seen them several times but this was a huge let down. Way too much talking and telling the audience how good he is. Not enough focus on his music. A lot of mixed tracks. Disappointed and left early.
Too much bragging for our liking. Great vocals but didn't need to hear K screeching the highest note she could get to - just sing.
Fabulous evening at Dalby Forest. Beautiful setting, lovely weather, happy crowd, brilliant music. Such fun. Well done upbeat Deco for setting the mood. How good was Sophie Ellis-Bextor? Terrific I'd say. Nile Rodgers and Chic, engaging, energetic and beautiful. Absolutely Marvellous. Thank you for a great night.
Absolutely fabulous from start to finish. And the venue was amazing definitely going again.
All 3 acts did good sets. Great music, singing and dance party. Lovely venue and arrival all as expected. Getting out of the car park at the end was chaos - no clear exit queuing - soooo slow and disorganised. Better exit car park marshalling would have speeded things up.
The concert was phenomenal, Chic, particularly Kimberly, was awesome. The car parking management was the worst I've experienced in years. Very badly managed on the day, shocking Dalby forest.
Nile Rogers & Chic put in a fantastic performance in the beautiful setting of Sherwood Forest. Sophie Ellis Bextor was amazing as the support act. All round great evening, but getting out of car park was a bit of a challenge!
What an amazing night 🤩 Absolutely fabulous! What a great act!
There's always something special with an outdoor concert in beautiful surroundings, especially when you blessed with the weather. We avoided all possible queues in and out of the car park by walking through the forest to this event, a good idea, well it seemed like one until the trip home….forest paths look remarkably different in reverse in total darkness. The concert was excellent from start to finish and Sophie did an excellent job at getting the crowd warmed up for the main event. Unknown to most people, Nile Rodger's has probably had more involvement in more hits over the years than anyone else I can think of. The set started with Nile bashing out Chic's back catalogue of greatest hits and after the first third you might be left wondering what else he could play, but then you're introduced to all those hits he's had in collaboration with other artist. Nile just about hits the mark with time spent interacting with his audience and playing all those wonderful songs…..well worth the six mile round trip walk
We saw a support artist firstly (Sophie Ellis-Bextor) she was absolutely brilliant, never can understand why she doesn't make a full come back, she is awesome live. Nile/chic second time of having the pleasure to see him & chic again & they did not disappoint whatsoever, over 2 hours of sheer not stop hits…7 of us in total at Sherwood Pines, Notts outdoor venue whoop whoop great weather & plenty of alcohol indulgence 🕺💃 🍺 🍷 we all thoroughly enjoyed.
A faboulous night in Sherwood Forest. Sophie Ellis Bexter was an outstanding support act before Nile Rogers and Chic who were amazing. Great feel good tunes all night with some absolute classics performed. It was a shame the night had to end. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a night of fun and faboulous music.
One of the best concerts I have ever been to. Brilliant, want to go again!
Saw Nile Rodgers last night at Sherwood pines. Excellent night. Great supporting acts Sophie Ellis bextor and deco. Fantastic location
We enjoyed the experience of Sherwood Pines. Music was great and timings were spot on. There was room for everyone without being on top of each other. We were particularly impressed with the Marshalls as we left Sherwood Pines. They made leaving easy and smooth with their red and green wands.
