The Martians are back!
In October 2026, Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of The Worlds - Live! The Concert Experience! will be touring theatres and concert halls across the UK. For the very first time, audiences will experience a concert rendition of the iconic score, presented by Kilimanjaro.
Lose yourself in Jeff Wayne’s legendary double album, brought to life with West End performers, live band, orchestra and animation.
Jeff says: "It’s a great thrill to announce that a special concert rendition of my original double album is to tour the UK in October next year - a first of its kind on our home shores. Performing at concert and theatre venues, it will give the audiences a different perspective of my musical version, stripping the ‘spectacle’ of my arena tours back down to its foundation…the music!
For this concert tour, I’ll be stepping back from the podium, but the production will showcase exceptional artists from the West End and other major performing mediums, supported by a band, orchestra, animation and other concert elements. It will stand as a true companion to my arena tours.”
Could watch it over again absolutely brilliant show from start to finish
This was everything we expected it to be. Great sound and passionate performances
The only thing I can say about the show. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME
Waited a long time to see Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of the War of the World's and this did not disappoint at all. The venue was fantastic with great seats in tier 1 at the front of the stage. The venue staff were amazing and very experienced getting everyone in and out very quickly. The show was literally out of this world even if you didn't know the story you would have been amazed by the performers and musicians. A definate must see again for us.
This show was brilliant! I bought the double album in 1978 & up until now, had not seen the live show. It was amazing. If you haven't been, try & go to see it.
We've seen WOTW a few times, but this was by far the best. The Co-op live has amazing sound quality and amplified the whole experience. Loved seeing Jeff Wayne still conducting.
Ignore people complaining about venue problems - nothing to do with the show. The show was incredible!! The orchestra were amazing
Perfect stage re creation of the classic album. All personal performances were immaculate. Great stage props too.
Seen this show a few time's now & it never disappoint's,got ticket's before the cast were announced but all were great..at time's though ticket's can be abit costly so it kinda depends on where you want to sit,if you're a fan of WATW then it's a must see,the special effect's are fab aswell as the story on the screen, all in all it's a great night out 🌍👽
Jeff Wayne is truly remarkable. I enjoyed every minute, the cast, the Music and the special effects were amazing. The music just got better and better all through the production . Everyone involved are so talented , I'd definitely watch it again.
Every time we come there are great henhancements to it
Take of two halves, Coop live is still suffering teething problems and service was at point chaotic. I was supposed to have been sent an email with the times on for the ultimate experience- this was not sent until 16:20 on the day of the concert. The doors opened at 16:30, had I not already guessed the timings, I would have missed most of the experience. Seats were so uncomfortable, really narrow and no depth to the seat. The show was brilliant, all cast performed well and sound I. The arena was good
A truly amazing show from start to finish. There is nothing better than live music and the musicians were fabulous. So much energy and passion from start to finish. COOP Live staff were all very professional helpful and happy to assist. A most enjoyable experience all round. Thank you!
All I can say is ..you really need to see Jeff Wayne's The War of The Worlds musical if you want a mesmeric and lifelong memory! It will NOT disappoint..Its theme both fantastical and steeped in possibility …special effects both extraordinary and extravagant…actors/ singers multi talented and expertise will all fill your soul with sheer wonder! The hologram of Liam Neeson pure genius. Go see it if you can!!!
Absolutely stunning, the whole show from start to finish exceeded my expectation.
Had a fantastic seat could see everything. Fabulous Orchestra and band. Brilliant cast great singers. Overall a Fab 👌 night at the CO OP Live.
Great show but queuing up outside for over 90min on a hot sunny day and bursting for a loo , can't understand why the doors can't be opened earlier, not to go into the auditorium but just to be able to get into the venue for refreshments and have access to the toilets , like the Lowry !
The actual show was absolutely brilliant. The special effects were superb. I have the original double LP so to see and hear it live was especially good. However for a new arena the seats were a bit cramped for width and legroom. Also if you buy cans you are required to open them before leaving the stall for your seat. Plus we made the mistake of buying canned water and only when it was to late did we notice the free water dispensers on the concourse. Parking is expensive at £25 and it takes over half an hour to get off. No control by stewards etc to help drivers get away. Would go again but would have to consider possible alternatives for getting to and from the arena.
The show simply amazing with out of this world effects Our only let down was the backstage club. A complete waste of money. £78 for 2 drinks and a sit down!!
Excellent show let down by the misleading advertising. We booked VIP tickets which consisted of a little box with a few bits in it. No early access, no VIP lounge just a ticket and a few bits of memorabilia. We had people sat next to us who had paid half of which we paid. Lesson learnt, poor performance from the Co op Arena.
