The tour will feature an exciting new cast to star alongside Charlie Simpson including Nathan James, Anna-Marie Wayne, Rou Reynolds, The Wanted’s Max George and Maisie Smith (Eastenders & Strictly).  One of the most trailblazing arena tours of all time, Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of The Worlds ‘The Spirit of Man Tour’ returns with a musical spectacular like none other, with the production remaining a favourite to millions around the world, exciting audiences of all ages.

In 2006, The War of The Worlds was already considered a cutting-edge production with six trucks filled to the brim. By 2025, marking 19 years of live touring, the production will be up to 12 trucks, with a host of new ingredients and special effects to challenge and excite the senses...

  • Terrible.

by Rock God. on 03/04/2025OVO Hydro - GlasgowRating: 1 out of 5

The show was fantastic, but when entering the venue, I was told that our seating had been changed due to restricted view and we were moved to a new seating area. If our original seats had restricted view, the seats we were move to had a horrendous view you could not see a quarter of the stage, the screen to the right of the stage involved craning your neck yo view it as was the area of the stage that you could see, the screen to the left of the stage was not visible at all. We left the venue with extremely painfull necks, which nade the experience an utter shambles. I would sugest some sort of compensation be issued to offset the disappointment of an extremlly unenjoyable experience.

  • Fantastic show at War of the Worlds

Fantastic show. Wonderful narration and music and songs. Imagery was perfect. All in all an amazing experience.

  • Great show

Loved the show. The music, lighting and singing was excellent. Was a brilliant night. I will say the entry organisation was a shambles. I got vip tickets but couldn't get in the vip gate, had to stand and get in with people with general tickets. Very unorganised.

Absolutely amazing show. Not to be missed if you are a fan. Even if you don't know the music it's still a fantastic experience. My 17year old granddaughter came with me and loved it so no generation should miss out on the spectacle.

Absolutely stunning. Couldn't take my eyes off the stage the whole time. Jeff Wayne is a genius. And big shout out to Max George as the parson. Looked like he totally immersed himself in that role. Fantastic. Would highly recommend. That's another one off my bucket list! But I would go see it again in a heartbeat.❤️

Brilliant production. Found myself finding it ss relevant now as ever making it a must see. The actor plsying the artillerymans high notes were a little irritating but the voice of humanity was excellent and seeing jeff wayne was conduct was a must see.

I've seen the show a dozen times over the last few years. Last night show was one of the best. Max George Maisie Smith and Nathan James all superb. Star of the show Rou Reynolds. Brilliant vocal performance.

  • Pity about the Seats

by Mo on 03/04/2025OVO Hydro - GlasgowRating: 4 out of 5

This was a great event loved the musicians and the fact that it was Jeff Wayne himself conducting. Some of the singing was a little weak although I was super impressed by Max George and Rou Reynolds and Nathan James was his usual amazing self. The seating at the Hydro isn't the comfiest which is a pity. I was pretty sore and restless towards the end. Will take my honeycomb cushion to the next gig. Having said that the show was a must see.

  • Poor Show!

Didn't enjoy at all! Poor audio and really disapointed by the whole experience to be honest.

  • Very Disappointing

Poor Quality Show and Sound. What ever acting there was was very poor.

  • Fantastic show

by jimmymac on 03/04/2025OVO Hydro - GlasgowRating: 5 out of 5

This was a fantastic show from Jeff Wayne. The music was great as were the actors. The only downside to the night was that it was difficult to find your seat. In block G the letters were missing from the end of the row and it was confusing as the row seat numbers were the same. There were people sitting in wrong seats. I would have expected better from the Ovo Hydro.

  • Great performance - sound/lighting could have been better

by Gill on 03/04/2025OVO Hydro - GlasgowRating: 4 out of 5

Fantastic show - third time we've been to see it and always enjoy it. Performance itself was great, and the music was phenomenal, however the sound and lighting this time round seemed pretty poor and it was very difficult to make out what the Liam Neeson hologram was saying, which was disappointing for two in our party who were less familiar with the story.

  • Amazing from start to finish.

    by Nat72 on 02/04/2025P&J Live, Aberdeen - AberdeenRating: 5 out of 5

The entire cast was wonderful. Plenty of surprises (won't detail them to avoid spoilers!). As soon as Jeff Wayne appeared on-stage to conduct the brilliant musicians, you knew this was going to be a quality production. I highly recommend going to see this show!

  • Fantastic show, timeless music

by Roy on 02/04/2025P&J Live, Aberdeen - AberdeenRating: 5 out of 5

The show was so good. This music has stood the test of time. The sound mix was excellent, you could really hear everything it was so well balanced. The cast were also brilliant, particularly Max George who was outstanding. So grateful to have seen this. The venue as always was well organized too

  • Almost outstanding

    by 26children on 30/03/2025Connexin Live - HullRating: 4 out of 5

Ticketmaster booking seemless from start to attending the performance ☺️ The show is spectacular, the musical score continues to be outstanding and the musicians incredible. Some great touches with special effects. And Jeff Wayne appears to be ageless😍 I do think Charlie Simpson could have added a bit of Fightstar energy into his performance 😏 the initial sound was not balanced at the Connexion, Hull but settled down after the opening sequence. Overall a fabulous show 😁💯
