The Martians are back!

In October 2026, Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of The Worlds - Live! The Concert Experience! will be touring theatres and concert halls across the UK. For the very first time, audiences will experience a concert rendition of the iconic score, presented by Kilimanjaro.

Lose yourself in Jeff Wayne’s legendary double album, brought to life with West End performers, live band, orchestra and animation.

Jeff says: "It’s a great thrill to announce that a special concert rendition of my original double album is to tour the UK in October next year - a first of its kind on our home shores. Performing at concert and theatre venues, it will give the audiences a different perspective of my musical version, stripping the ‘spectacle’ of my arena tours back down to its foundation…the music!

For this concert tour, I’ll be stepping back from the podium, but the production will showcase exceptional artists from the West End and other major performing mediums, supported by a band, orchestra, animation and other concert elements. It will stand as a true companion to my arena tours.”

  • Absolutely gutted!

by Chris and Andrea on 07/04/2025Rating: 1 out of 5

After years of anticipation and hearing excellent reviews, I finally purchased 2 tickets at the co op live for my partners birthday. Unfortunately, we were sadly disappointed. From start the finish the event wasn't very good for us . The Co op live arena is an absolute joke ...really expensive. £18 for 2 drinks . £30 for 2 little burgers and chips . £9 cans of drinks , £12.50 for a burnt chicken sandwich ...... And the seats are awful . No room whatsoever, Really tight and very uncomfortable, we would never visit there again . Has to be the worst venue we've ever been!!! In regards to the show....we didn't like the venue but really wanted to persevere and watch The War of the worlds ....sadly it didn't live up to the hype . Very repetitive music , cheesy and low budget cgi movie , the lighting and laser show was awful . Just an all round disappointment., especially paying the prices charged.. We felt like to get the full immersive experience , you'd need to be in the middle or at the front....which cost a staggering £500-£1000 per ticket . We paid just over £200 row Block 110 row 12. We didn't experience anything great 😕 I'm sure others had a nice time , and I don't want to sound like a hater, I just wanted to review my experience.... Years of excitement for this show ....Sadly , we left at the interval .. we are absolutely gutted and just didn't like anything about the experience..

  • Poor Acoustics for Speech

by onya on 06/04/2025Utilita Arena Newcastle - Newcastle Upon TyneRating: 3 out of 5

The music and atmosphere for this show were brilliant but unfortunately the dialogue acoustics were very poor - if I had not already known the story line, I still wouldn't !!

Saw WotW at Newcastle arena last night and what a night it was. We had the silver VIP package so very close to the stage. Thoroughly enjoyed enjoyed the night. The music was excellent as was the singing. I would definitely recommend going to see this. You won't be disappointed. The only criticism is, paying so much for the VIP tickets that there should be a little more in the box of goodies. Especially a program. Paying an extra £20 for a program when you've paid £149 for the ticket is rather steep. Other than that, a good night was had by all.

by June on 04/04/2025First Direct Arena - LeedsRating: 5 out of 5

The war of the worlds was amazing. Really enjoyed the evening. The staff were brilliant at getting everyone in and out. Just one downside the price of drinks were a rip off. £8.80 for 2 bottles of pop.

  • A fantastic night. 2.5 hours.

by AdyW on 04/04/2025First Direct Arena - LeedsRating: 5 out of 5

This was a fantastic night with the iconic music remastered, by Jeff, giving the iconic music an extra dimension. If you live the original music you wont be dissapointed. Jeff Wayne himself conducting was an added bonus. 8pm start was a bit too late for a 2.5 hour show but well worth it.

  • Fabulous evening

What a night! My other half who was totally unaware of WOTW absolutely loved the performance . What more could one want? Stella performances by all the artists all conducted by the man himself , Jeff Wayne. Get the chance to see it then do not pass it up. Brilliant.
