Hit-making dance duo announce one final tour to mark their 25th anniversary

Groove Armada have announced they are heading out on one final tour in April 2022. The duo, who mark 25 years together in 2022, will wind up with a big farewell show at London's Brixton Academy.

Acclaimed dance duo Groove Armada were birthed out of the new wave of electronica that gripped the UK towards the end of the 90s. With a string of crossover singles, they'd go on to be one of the most successful UK dance acts of the decade.

Andy Cato and Tom Findlay were introduced by a girlfriend and together founded their own Groove Armada night in London, taking their name from a 70s French disco. They released their first single under the moniker, At The River, in 1997, followed a year later by their debut album Northern Star.

Their second album, Vertigo, landed in 1999 and went Platinum, the duo achieving huge crossover success with the single I See You Baby, later remixed by Fatboy Slim. Following a mix for Back To Mine, they returned in 2001 with Goodbye Country (Hello Nightclub) and another huge single with Superstylin', which also bagged Groove Armada a Grammy nomination.

Neneh Cherry and Nappy Roots guested on the duo's fourth album, Lovebox, while their 2007 album Soundboy Rock offered up another hit with the Mutya Buena-featuring single Song 4 Mutya (Out Of Control).

Another Grammy nomination followed the release of 2010's Black Light, which included guest spots from Will Young and Bryan Ferry. Groove Armada were otherwise lesser spotted through the decade, only releasing one more album in 2015, Little Black Book.

Cato and Findlay returned in 2020 with two new singles: Get Out On The Dancefloor and Lover 4 Now. An album, Edge Of The Horizon, followed in October. In 2021, Groove Armada announced they were calling it a day after one final tour.
