About
Heralded as one of the Irish Times '50 to Watch' for 2024 and awarded the prestigious 'Radical Spirit' accolade at the Dublin Fringe Festival, Tadhg's creative footprint is becoming impossible to ignore. Their captivating single, 'Ride The Wave', dazzled audiences as RTÉ Radio One's Track Of The Week, further solidifying their place in the Irish music scene.
In a groundbreaking debut, SexyTadhg's Fringe Festival show, ‘Television’, sold out at the celebrated Project Arts Centre and garnered an impressive ⅘ stars from the Irish Times. Their follow-up performances at Smock Alley continued to raise the bar for live entertainment in Ireland. Tadhg Griffin, the magnificent force behind SexyTadhg, embodies a provocative energy that has swiftly established them as a luminary in Irish music. The Irish Times perfectly captures this essence by describing them as a “shining light” with a bona fide rock star presence, an achievement that is readily reflected in the consistent sell-out crowds they attract.
Dubbed an “intergalactic rock star” by GCN and heralded by Hotpress for delivering “theatrical disco music at its finest,” Tadhg's performances are an exhilarating blend of musicianship and creativity. Critics have praised their shows as high-voltage cabarets that inspire new imaginings in the realm of live music. Tadhg's commanding vocals and virtuoso piano skills have mesmerized audiences across the nation, and their big band extravaganza elevates Irish musicianship to unprecedented heights. Their performances draw comparisons to legendary icons like David Bowie, Elton John, Lady Gaga, and Freddie Mercury, yet Tadhg artfully intertwines this majestic persona with intimate narratives that explore themes of gender, sexuality, and mental health.
