Pop icon Adam Ant will perform his landmark, solo album Friend or Foe for the first time, live in its entirety across the UK. Following a world tour to sold-out venues throughout the United Kingdom, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, Adam Ant confirms his 2019 Friend or Foe tour.
New wave band Adam and the Ants first formed in 1977, releasing three albums – Dirks Wears White Sox (1979), Kings of the Wild Frontier (1980) and Prince Charming (1981) – before disbanding in 1982. That same year, Adam Ant embarked on a solo career with the release of debut solo album Friend or Foe.
This album continued Adam's success across the globe – notably in the USA where it garnered three top 20 hits on the Billboard Top 100 and secured him a place on the 1983 NBC Television special Motown 25. His second solo album, Strip, produced the top five UK hit Puss in Boots – but the BBC banned both the video and the song for the follow-up single Strip. While recording his third solo album, Vive Le Rock, Adam set out on an acting career by appearing in a theatre production of Entertaining Mr Sloane at The Royal Exchange in Manchester.
Adam Ant's extensive hits include the classics Antmusic, Dog Eat Dog, Goody Two Shoes, Prince Charming, Kings Of The Wild Frontier, and the Ivor Novello, award winning Stand And Deliver.

Seeing Adam in the past. I thought maybe now he'd be tiring. But how wrong was i. We got a mix of his Ants & solo material. But not only that, We get Toyah, throwing into the mix as well.who hasn't aged. Or tired vocals. This brought me back to my youth, when i 1st saw adam with the Ants., way back when...This gig will definitely be in my top 5 of 2025.
Amazing night! Toyah as support was excellent. Adam looked amazing, super cool. He was a little quiet and voice not always in tune, but with a strong, excited Welsh crowd singing along, it didn't matter a jot!! Have had to wait 40years to see him perform live, had no money back in those days. Adam did not disappoint. Loved the set list of super songs from my youth. Backing band were awesome too. Great night!
Adamant was brilliant as usual. Sounded really good. Waited nearly 2 years for this concert as the original one was cancelled at at The New Theatre, Cardiff. Also andded bonus was having Toyah ans the support act. Another one of my favourite icons from the 80's, so seeing both together in the same line up was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately the Utilita Areana had put seats in front of stage and looked really cramped. I'm glad I wasn't sitting there and was on the sides so had quite a good view. Unfortunately we were not allowed to go any nearer to dance. After all it is a concert not a philharmonic orchestra for people to sit still even if most fans there are now getting on ( myself included) 😂. It was also good to see some younger people there also dressed up in Adam Ant outfits with stripes across our noses. So come on , Cardiff Utilita, just because Adam Ant 's fans are getting older - give us the space and let us danxe the Prince Charming.
Saw Adam Ant on this tour at Brighton and he was brilliant! His voice has not changed at all - he lept about the stage with more energy than someone in their 20s. It was absolutely lovely to hear him sing live - a really excellent show and if you are an Ant you will love it even more. We met loads of lovely people there too, some whom had seen him 10-15 times! - Great groups of them that follow him around the country - so I think that speaks volumes about the man! they keep coming back for more and so will we! Can't wait til the next time !
