Since forming in 2004 Young the Giant has been praised for their experimentation with instrumentation and natural storytelling abilities. Young the Giant plunged into the public eye after releasing their self-titled debut album in 2010. The album featured hits such as “My Body,” “Cough Syrup” and “Apartment.” A monumental performance at the 2011 MTV Music video awards led to their album climbing to number 42 on the Billboard 200. The band's song “Mind Over Matter” peaked at number 7 on the Billboard 200 and opened the band up to a larger audience. The band also entered the top 10 in the Rock album charts in 2018 for Mirror Master and again in 2022 with American Bollywood.

Young the Giants most recent studio album, American Bollywood saw the band enter a new era. The album details the new changes in the band's lives such as becoming fathers, and dealing with the pandemic. The album provided fans with a mature and fresh sound. They also incorporated Indian instrumentation to reflect the subject matter. The album discusses identity and belonging as an immigrant in America. The songs are seismic in scope yet intimate in nature. The lyrics capture the feelings of those who have moved from their homeland to another country.

Young the Giant most recently announced their summer tour. They will be joined by Milky Chance and will hit all major US cities.
