About
Moody, cinematic indie-rock trio
Get the album Philophobia here
A group of University of Nottingham students formed Amber Run in 2012. By 2013 they had self-released their debut Noah EP plus landed a slot performing on the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading & Leeds.
In 2014, the band landed a deal with RCA and followed Noah up with two more EPs – Spark and Pilot.
Amber Run’s debut album 5AM came out in 2015 and broke into the top 40 on the UK albums chart. Produced by Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, The 1975, Keane), it spawned the singles I Found and Just My Soul Responding.
In 2017, Amber Run returned with their raw, deeply introspective sophomore album For A Moment, I Was Lost, which garnered critical acclaim and led to a sold-out tour across the UK and Europe.
The indie-rock combo are comprised of vocalist Joe Keogh on guitar, Tom Sperring on bass and Henry Wyeth on keyboards. Known for exploring new sounds, Amber Run released The Assembly EP featuring mostly choral tracks like Amen and The Weight in 2018.
Leaning in a more orchestral direction, their third album Philophobia arrived in late 2019 and saw them embark on their first ever world tour.
In early 2021, Amber Run announced 10-date headline UK tour for October 2021.
