Pop superstar and one of the finest songwriters of his generation
Sting leapt to international superstardom in the late 70s and early 80s as the frontman of new wave rockers The Police. With their muscular, radio-ready, reggae-flecked songs, the trio lodged themselves firmly in the upper echelons of the charts with hits including ‘Can’t Stand Losing’, ‘Don’t Stand So Close To Me’, ‘Message In A Bottle’, ‘So Lonely’ and ‘Roxanne’.
The band went on indefinite hiatus in the mid-80s and Sting struck out on his own, landing an instant hit with his first solo album The Dream Of The Blue Turtles. Over the course of the 80s and 90s, he released a string of hugely successful and critically acclaimed records including Nothing Like The Sun and the massive Ten Summoners Tales, and hit singles such as ‘All For One’, ‘Fields Of Gold’, ‘Englishman In New York’ and ‘Desert Rose’. In 2018, he collaborated with reggae pop star Shaggy on the album 44/876 before revisiting some of his most famous songs on the collection My Songs in 2019.
Over his 40-plus years in music, Sting has sold over 100 million records and amassed an incredible 18 Grammys, seven Ivor Novello Awards, an Emmy, a Golden Globe, four Oscar nominations and one Tony nomination. He’s been renowned for his activism – setting up the Rainforest Fund and working on behalf of Amnesty and Live Aid – and has acted in films including Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Dune and Quadrophenia.
In 2024 Sting launched his STING 3.0 World Tour, including a huge headline show at Lincoln Castle in summer 2025.

Good night of entertainment all the acts were outstanding
Great venue, BIP a little expensive for what you got, but overall fantastic And sting didn't disappoint he was awesome!
Easy to park. Helpful and pleasant staff. Brilliant music. Will attend future festivals if there're on and I like the artists. Would have been 5 stars if I wasn't forced to pay a levy on glasses when the drinks were already expensive.
Great venue, Sting in remarkable shape and good mix of Sting and Police
Fantastic concert, loved every minute. Sting was and is amazing. There was a fantastic atmosphere and the venue was great as everyone had a good view.
Easy of entry & entrance & great show Booked VIP didn't realise the food bowl was a lovely buffet - we ate beforehand Tbh we didn't sit in the VIP area as not enough seats!! You need to arrive around 18.00 when the doors open to grab a place - we enjoyed the concert with the general admissions where we had a better view!!
Brilliant Sting with other musicians! Full of energy and humour!! Absolutely stunning experience!!
Sting is mesmerising! Such a brilliant musician and artist. Love him! Venue was excellent, especially as the weather was good!
Wonderful concert in pretty venue, Sting is in impressive shape, nice food stands
What a ledge - the performance was amazing, polished, you'd think you were listening to an album track, and at 73, the man's a machine! … And what a backdrop, the acoustics from the castle walls make Lincoln Castle the perfect venue. The perfect combination of venue and the legend that is STING!
First class service, top class food & Bev in VIP zone. Excellent staff!
Cracking concert... Sting was on fire ! Great venue .. Fab audience!
Had a great evening. Sting was on top form. His voice was better than ever. His band are great too - both the drummer and the guitarist
Westonbirt Arboretum is an absolutely stunning location for a concert, weather was perfect, Marshalls well organised and very helpful with parking a mobility scooter, also very friendly which adds to the evening. We didnt think much of the support, didnt really warm the crowd up at all, Sting and the band were fantastic but didnt play very long compared to Bruce Springsteen 2 weeks ago. Getting out was long and slow but well organised, not possible to improve I think.
Impressive, smooth performance from Sting and the band at Westonbirt - skillful musicians and strong vocals from Sting - all the favourites from Police and solo collection - on a perfect summer evening.
30 minute walk from the car park to the arena after 45 minutes sitting in traffic meant we missed the first 2 acts Sting. Great start had the audience really enjoying it before his set became very self indulgent in the middle and lost the audience prompting many to leave. Good finish with a number of the old Police bangers Getting out from the car park then took another hour Be aware !!
Wonderful Show and Concert from Sting and his band, more than just a backing band, Exellent drumming from Chris Maas, Brilliant guitar playing from Dominic Miller and great Bass and vocals from Sting. Such a good set list with material from both the Police and solo works. Sting can still rock with a audience who well appreciated the list of songs and performance. I last saw Sting in 1991 and 1996 so it has been a long wait, how many of the current artists will still have the ability to be as good after such a length of time ?
The performance from Sting was first class. 90 minutes full of hits and lots of interaction with the crowd. I wouldn't hesitate to see him again. The only let down was excited Westonbirt Arboretum car park. It was total chaos leaving so many people angry and frustrated. Speaking to the stewards, this happens at every gig. Surely it's about time they employ someone with intelligence to work out a remedy for this problem. The gig 5 stars, Venue 5 Stars, Car Park 1 star
What a night watching one of the most iconic artists of our time. The energy of this incredible man had to be witnessed, he was outstanding along with Dominic, this amazing musician who has been with Sting forever. The outstanding 'Shape of my Heart' was so beautiful as well as other well known songs from his catalogue of outstanding music. The cream of the night was 'Roxanne' belted out under a clear sky to the many concert goers satisfied they had just witnessed the incredible Sting at his best, and how lucky were we! The worst thing was getting out of the venue's one way exit!
Sting and Imelda May were both fantastic. Fabulous concert! He's still got it and the quality of the sound was superb. Getting out of Westonbirt is the biggest nightmare ever though it took an hour, they need to get in some people who know how to park cars in a way to facilitate ease of departure, we were all facing the wrong direction. There were people shouting at each other. Our line didn't move at all for 35 minutes. A young girl (they are all volunteers) seemed to be the one who took charge and gave each line a turn. A nightmare and you get charged £10 extra for this privilege!!
