Music good, venue not so ......
by srhmbe on 23/05/2025Utilita Arena Cardiff - CardiffRating: 3 out of 5I've seen Gregory Porter in concert several times over the years when living in London; he has a superb voice and is a joy to listen to. On this occasion we were at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff with seats in the stands - Block 7 - with a great view of the stage which was directly in front of us. However there was literally NO knee room at all and this made for a really uncomfortable evening's viewing which - at the end - even managed to detract from listening to Gregory sing. The couple to our right also struggled to sit comfortably, and all of us felt stiff and sore at the end of the concert It seems to me that the owners of the venue have arranged seating in such a way as to pack the maximum possible number of people into the arena and quite frankly I would never choose to see a concert there in future. Bearing in mind the cost of the tickets, I would expect to have a little more comfort in order to enjoy a concert. I doubt I will visit that particular venue again
