About

California hardcore punks with a reputation for political activism and unrivalled energy on stage

Sharing the intensity and social conscience of bands such as Rage Against The Machine and Black Flag, raucous hardcore quartet FEVER 333 is comprised of vocalist and founding member Jason Aalon Butler, guitarist Brandon Davis, bassist April Kae and drummer Thomas Pridgen. The 333 in their name represents a focus on community, charity and change.

They formed in 2017 with the calling of “art as activism” and shortly after performed an impromptu debut pop-up show from a U-Haul truck in the carpark of Inglewood’s flagship Randy's Donuts on the 4th of July. Later that summer FEVER 333 released their debut single We’re Coming In, followed by Hunting Season – both co-written and co-produced with support from blink-182’s Travis Barker and Goldfinger’s John Feldman.

The band’s hybrid rap-rock sound with pointedly political lyrics quickly took shape, as did their socially conscious spirit and penchant for unpermitted D333MONSTRATIONs after publicly assembling in front of a South Central Los Angeles landmark and ducking out before the cops came.

In 2018, FEVER 333 released their debut EP MADE AN AMERICA, which would go on to score them a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Performance. The trio also made their UK live debut at Download Festival that year.

Their first full-length album STRENGTH IN NUMB333RS came out in January 2019. In addition to summer festival appearances at Reading & Leeds, Download, AfroPunk and many more, FEVER 333 took the world by storm later that year with their global D333MONSTRATIONS tour.

FEVER 333 unveiled the explosive single BITE BACK ahead of their EP WRONG GENERATION in 2020. Written in the wake of the George Floyd killing, Butler spent 13 days in the streets marching before coming home to write this collection of songs. To mark the release, FEVER 333 played a global live-stream tour, with a series of six consecutive performances, each broadcasting live in different time zones.
