Rousing dark folk, enlightening tales inspired by Nordic runes and folklore
Wardruna is the long musical project of Einar Selvik, aka Kvitrafn, which for the past two decades has created highly atmospheric dark folk that draws on runes and other Nordic traditions.
Formed in 2003 by Selvik, Gaahl and Lindy-Fay Hella – the latter of whom still performs in Wardruna – the band released their debut Runaljod – Gap var ginnunga in 2009. The first in the Runaljod trilogy, the album drew on ancient runes and was sung in Norwegian, Proto Norse and Old Norse. The band was, then, a natural fit as composers of the second series of Vikings. After the Runaljod trilogy, Wardruna released Skald in 2018 and Kvitravn in 2021.
In April 2024 the band announced UK and Ireland dates for March 2025 as part of a world tour.

This is one show that surpasses the expectation The staff were amazing and very helpful Most people avoid the support. This support was an eye opener Watdruna surpassed all expectations. Amix of old and new
Wardruna were brilliant, definitely worth going to see. I was expecting cramped seating because of the write up of our seats but they were better than expected, will book the same next time we go.
Been a Wardruna fan for a long time now so i knew that i was in for a great night , buying my tickets from Ticketmaster made it nice and smooth from purchasing till the time i sat down . The staff at the Royal Albert hall were very pleasant and helpful . so the next time Wardruna are in town Ticketmaster here i come .
What can I say absolutely awesome concert, the support artist Jo Quail was awesome and then when Wardruna hit the stage from the first song to the final classic Helvegen could not fault the performance in the fabulous Royal Albert Hall, the only problem didn't want the concert to end!!
The performance was top-notch. The sound was clear and powerful, while being faithful to Wardruna's style. Wardruna, please come back again, anytime. Thanks for your immaculate presentation and all the hard work behind. 10/10
Absolutely amazing. The music was epic and Wardruna were fantastic. I was lost in a magical place.
