About
Musician, activist and actress considered a defining influence on singer-songwriters
Sheryl Crow released her debut album, Tuesday Night Music Club, in 1993. Since then she’s had seven Top 10 records, sold over 35 million albums, and been praised by the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Maren Morris, Lorde, Haim, Brandi Carlile and H.E.R for her powerful influence on the singer-songwriter genre. Tuesday Night Music Club saw Crow win three Grammy awards, a total that she would add to in 1997 when she picked up two more for her self-titled second album. This was also the year that Crow would contribute the theme song to the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies.
Over the next two and a half decades, Crow would go on to release nine further studio albums, six compilation albums and four live albums, as well as countless radio successful singles. In 2022, she was the subject of documentary film Sheryl, a lookback at her career that was released in conjunction with the compilation album Sheryl: Music From The Feature Documentary. November 2023 brought the news that Crow had returned to the studio, with her twelfth studio album, Evolution, set for release in March 2024. Crow also announced a headline show at Piece Hall for June of that year.
