About
The Back From The Bed tour
London-born comic Shaunn Walsh announces the next leg of the Back From The Bed tour, including two nights at London's Leicester Square Theatre.
Born in Camden but brought up in Brighton, Walsh cut his teeth in the mid-noughties learning to gig at the Komedia under the tutelage of comedy coach Jill Edwards. He soon became a regular MC at local comedy night Comic Boom before starting to tour around the country, winning Leicester Mercury's Comedian of the Year and Chortle's Best Newcomer in 2009.
In the early 2010s Walsh was becoming a favourite at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and had begun taking his own shows on tour, including Seann To Be Wild (2012) and The Lie-In King (2013), earning a nationwide following for his sharp observational style. Later tours included One for the Road (2016) and After This One, I'm Going Home (2019).
Throughout the 2010s the comic grew in popularity and began appearing on TV comedy shows such as Mock The Week, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and 8 Out of 10 Cats. Walsh even hosted his own Netflix game show Flinch in 2019. As well as appearing in 2018's Strictly Come Dancing, Walsh later appeared in ITV's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here in 2022.
Walsh's latest tour, Back From The Bed, of which he has said: "Some of the material will be the same as I had always planned and some of it will be new because it will be difficult to avoid mentioning the last year in which millions of decent people tragically lost their lives to TikTok."
