Considered one of the most influential British comedians since Charlie Chaplin, (he received the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy 2016 BAFTA/LA) Ricky Gervais is the creator and star of The Office, Extras, Derek, and the critically acclaimed Netflix hit After Life.
Following the global success of his two previous Netflix stand-up specials ‘Humanity’ and ‘Supernature’, 2023 saw Gervais release a third special and his biggest to date, ‘Armageddon’. It won a Golden Globe, was the global number 1 most-watched show on Netflix, and followed a record-breaking international tour, selling out 85 arena dates across the world. Gervais’s show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest-grossing comedy gig ever.
Gervais has won countless awards across his career, and enjoyed huge critical success for the outstanding three series of After Life. His hit series The Office is the most successful British comedy of all time, shown in more than 90 countries, with 13 remakes.
Ricky has hosted the Golden Globes awards five times, in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2016 and 2020.

It was a great show that went too quickly, good warm up act and in our row there was enough legroom although the people behind in row F complained from the start about their seats.
Great evening. Gervais strong as ever on irony and so so funny. Saw Peter Kay a while back and this was on a whole new level
Ricky doesn't hold back and, as a result, he is funnier than ever. The show goes to some incredibly dark places but it's hilarious and genuinely uplifting too. A great night out.
Ricky Gervais is a genius, I adore his tv programs and I can watch them over and over again without ever getting sick of them. Seeing his live stand up though was another level, I love his honesty, his humour is just brilliant. Great night!

Enjoyed the show but venue O2 Manchester not great. Tiny seats, uncomfortably warm & parking £15 for 3 hours

Been to see Ricky live many times and so far Mortality is my favourite, Took my mum last night and she loved it too, So good I'm going again tonight! Also going to mention his support act Sean.. I don't usually like support acts but always found Sean funny and I find myself looking forward to his set too. Well worth going to see if you can get tickets.
Ricky was outstanding and such a brilliant entertainer
Ricky was brilliant, a laugh every minute - but I'm fixated on saying "minute" because he wasn't on for very long. If he did an hour I'd be amazed. In fact his warm up was on for longer. Really disappointed - when he finished - I thought he was going in to a half time break.
We've seen lots of comedians over many years all over the country and this was the shortest gig ever! It's the fourth time we've seen Ricky Gervais, we've always enjoyed his comedy and he seems a really top bloke but, leaving First Direct Arena at 9.15pm after only an hour performance left us feeling a bit short changed. It was hardly worth the £45 return taxi fare. Come on Mr Gervais, give a little more thought to the effort and cost people put into coming to see you, it would be nice to get a full evening of entertainment in return.
It's one of the best stand up shows I've seen in decades. I didn't want the show to end. Fabulous chap. Hope he tours again in Leeds manchester area, very well received.
RG was a great show, he's always fantastic. It's been a while since I've been to a show at the Manchester Apollo and they've changed the seats to some weird plastic type which are quite flimsy and you can feel every moment from other people sitting a long way away from you. Literally someone about 15 seats away from me got up and my chair wobbled! So that's my only whinge with the venue but the show was great
Just a great night all round, definitely worth the money.
no holds barred Ricky has a go at everybody with his amazing caustic whit I can't repeat or remember one joke but was laughing all the way through would love to see it again
Super funny night … Apollo Manchester however have had a refit !! Smaller seats. Knees touching seat in front Unfortunately won't book out Apollo again !

Loved last night's show with the lovely Ricky Gervais. His eloquent and intelligent wit is always pleasing to watch! No ego, no agenda, just perfectly timed observations and insights into the world around us.

Tried for so long to get tickets for Ricky Gervais and eventually luckily managed to get a couple for me and my sister. He was just brilliant absolutely hilarious - would hands down go and see him again 10/10
