The DJ announces biggest London show to date
A contemporary force in dance music, fashion and all things cool, Peggy Gou has had the rapid rise to mega-stardom most can only dream of.
Learning to beatmatch and DJ in 2009 while returning home to her native South Korea, Gou (born Kim Min-ji) began performing sets in London, where she had moved to study at London College of Fashion. She also began producing her own music around this time, releasing her first single 'Hungboo' in 2014. After a few years in in London Gou moved to Berlin, refining her craft in the city's many dark and prestigious clubs and releasing EPs such as 2016's Seek for Maktoob. In 2017 she became the first Korean DJ to perform at Berghain.
In 2018 Gou released her breakthrough track 'It Makes You Forget (Itgehane)', which perfectly captured the DJ's style: hypnotic and melodic with the irresistible coolness of late-night summer breeze. The late 2010s saw the star named in Forbes' 30 Under 30 Asia list, launch her own fashion label Kirin, as well as achieve her first Billboard charting with DJ Kicks: Peggy Gou.
2023 saw Gou's biggest hit yet in '(It Goes Like) Nanana', which samples the unmistakeable hook from ATB's 1998 hit '9 PM (Till I Come)'. The track, released on XL Recordings, became Gou's first UK chart entry, topping the Indie and Dance charts and reaching No.5 on the UK Singles chart.
In 2024 Gou announced her biggest London show to date at Gunnersbury Park on Saturday 17 August. The DJ will be joined by special guests Mochakk, LSDXOXO, Sally C and Hiver.

Seen Gou a few times. Would rather pay to watch paint dry.
