Former Wet Wet Wet frontman turned hugely successful solo artist and stage performer
Born Mark McLachlan in Clydebank in 1965, Marti Pellow formed Wet Wet Wet(Opens in new tab) when he was only 17. The band went on to score huge hits in the UK and further afield with Wishing I Was Lucky, Goodnight Girl, A Little Help From My Friends, Sweet Little Mystery and more. However, it was their cover of The Troggs Love Is All Around, taken from the soundtrack to Four Weddings And A Funeral, that would etch their names into the record books, staying at No.1 for 15 weeks and selling almost two million copies.
In 1999, Pellow quit Wet Wet Wet and struck up a friendship with Chris Difford of Squeeze(Opens in new tab). The two began writing together, resulting in Pellow's solo debut, Smile, in 2001. The album went Gold in the UK. Pellow followed it up by re-recording material from both his Wet Wet Wet days and his solo album for Marti Pellow Sings The Hits Of Wet Wet Wet & Smile in 2002.
Following a third solo album, the 2003 covers record Between The Covers, Pellow ventured into acting with a role as Billy Flynn in Chicago. He then rejoined Wet Wet Wet for their reunion in 2004, staying with the band until 2017. In the meantime, he continued his concurrent careers as both a solo artist and stage performer, venturing into jazz for Sentimental Me in 2007 and appearing in productions of Jekyll & Hyde, Chess, Evita and Blood Brothers.
For his 2017 solo album Mysterious, Pellow fulfilled a lifelong dream of working with some of the world's finest musicians at the revered Ocean Way studios in Los Angeles.
Once the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the live music industry, the perpetually touring Pellow turned to the internet to connect with fans, live-streaming performances of both covers and hits from his back catalogue.
In 2021, Pellow released his 11th solo studio album, Stargazer. The album was preceded by the single These Are The Days.
In 2024, Marti Pellow announced an eight-date UK arena tour for 2025 to mark 30 years since the release of 'Love Is All Around'.

Fabulous, feel-good show. Marti was in fine voice & loved the kilt! Band and backing singers also great. Good atmosphere in the arena with lots of dancing from the first song. Come back soon please
What a brilliant night! First saw wet wet wet in the 90's when the ao arena was called the Nynex Arena. Love this boy, his energy, the songs & memories. His band & backing singers were a joy. The kilt appearance was an added bonus :) great energy in the arena.....whole audience were on their feet. Thanks Marti x x x
Great energy. Didn't know all is non wet wet wet songs and he lost the audience a bit on some tracks Should have introduced the band individually as they were great and deserved applause. But fun evening
Absolutely amazing night, thank you to Marti and his band. ❤️
He was amazing. Beautiful voice. Only negative was people in front 3 rows in balcony (prohibited ) standing up and dancing blocking the view of all behind
Marti was incredible!! His voice was superb and he put on a great show. Highly recommend going to see him
Fantastic performance from Marti as always…..I am still smiling 😊. So pleased to hear Brian Kennedy singing You Raise Me Up. again, moved me to tears…..
Went to see Marti at Bournemouth BIC, last night 24th Oct. He was literally mesmerising from the moment the curtain opened, to the final note. His singing was stunning and powerful. He was fantastic and the live band was amazing. Simply a fantastic tine from start to finish.
We were dissappointed in gave to wait in a queue fir well over an hour in the pouring rain before we got anywhere near the castle
The concert at Edinburgh castle was amazing Marti Pellow was his best vocally putting pure emotion and humour into his brilliant performance as he always does
Fabulous place for a concert. Weather stayed dry and the venue definitely didn't disappoint. We sat in block 15 a few rows up and was a prime location for viewing
Very well organised what a fantastic night, Marti Pellow rocked the castle xx

Terrific night's entertainment. Marti is certainly an entertainer, who has not lost any of his charm. His voice is still first class, and the choice of songs was spot on. The crowd were having a ball. #NoMartiNoParty
What a fantastic night with Marti, he smiled from start to finish and could tell he didn't want to end the show. True showmanship knows how to work the crowd and great choice of songs. The atmosphere was brilliant everyone up dancing. A great memorable night and not to be missed.
Fantastic concert, last saw Marti over 30 years ago, and he just sounded the same, if not better. Thanks for doing all the old tunes from the start of Wet Wet Wet, and the touching song Vincent, for your Dad. Xx
