Politically minded stand-up from star of Mark Thomas Comedy Product and The Mary Whitehouse Experience

Jokes, rants, politics, play and the occasional sing song.

If you don’t know what he does ask your parents.

In his time he has won awards (current total is now officially ‘f*ckloads’), forced a politician to resign, changed laws on tax and protest, become Guinness Book of Records world record holder for number of protests in 24 hours, taken the police to court three times and won, walked the length of the Israeli Wall in the West Bank and generally mucked about trying to have fun and f*ck the right people off.

This show is more of the above.

    The last time I saw Mark, I was 21, in my freshers week at Birmingham Poly. He strode onto the stage and, with his arms out wide, boomed, "So - you've all failed your A-Levels then?"I laughed then and I laughed harder at his show now. The front-row mobile phone going off, and his assurances that it was alright as she explained it was a reminder to take her tablets was epic. "It's alright - I know my demographic." He had the same energy as his 25-year-old self, so I assume the adrenaline rush of live performance is epic. Leaving it 36 years was far too long, and if he ever tours near-ish Manchester again, I'll be there.

    Mark Thomas was excellent - very funny and different material to when we've seen him previously. The venue was very good - nice size, comfy seats, good view, good sound and lighting. It was good that it was unreserved seating. We would definitely come back again.

    Great show though don't understand why a radio microphone is not used. With the handheld there are times, due to head movement, a word or so can be difficult to pick up. Otherwise, as always a great performance by Mark Thomas.

    Mark really was on form. We had a fab night catching up on his post election views, and listening to his usual sage advice for the masses in the defeat of capitalism. There was a funny personal touch in the second half of his performance, as he let rip about the joy of relationships once you hit 60. This was possibly the best I have ever seen him, and Im so glad we booked tickets.
