Luke Kempner Tickets

On his new UK tour Macho Macho Man, running throughout February and March 2022, impressionist Luke Kempner unpacks what masculinity means today as he imagines what Louis Therous, Piers Morgan or Jürgen Klopp might have to say in this hilarious blend of stand-up and impressions. 

Born in Surrey in 1986, Kempner studied musical theatre at The Guildford School of Acting, landing roles in musicals such as Avenue Q and South Pacific after graduating. His talent for mimicking most likely developed out of his skill in puppeteering, and he began uploading his impressions to YouTube. Downstairs At Downton, a medley of impressions of Downton Abbey characters, went viral in 2012 and a year later he developed this into the touring show The Only Way Is Downton, which ran for two years at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In 2019 he even took the show Stateside with a new twist with America’s Got Downton.

The comedian has grown to become a familiar face on national television, turning heads with his impressions on BBC Three’s improv crime-comedy hybrid Murder In Successville, and has since become a regular on the daily lifestyle show Steph’s Packed Lunch and Big Brother’s Bit On The Side. He has also appeared on Love Island Aftersun, The Last Leg and Celebrity Karaoke Club.

When a remake of the classic satirical puppet show Spitting Image was announced in 2020, it was only right that Kempner got called up to lend his talents impersonating the likes of Piers Morgan, Harry Kane and Bill Gates.
