About

Dance like no other at Day Fever

With a record streak of completely selling out their events from London to Manchester, from Cardiff to Glasgow and more, Day Fever is guaranteed to be the afternoon where you will dance like no other.

Vicky McClure speaks for us all when she says, 'We knew that there were people out there, like us, who would want to spend a Saturday afternoon partying the day away, but nothing prepared us for the avalanche of tickets that flew out the door! We quickly realised that people wanted more and more, so here we are! Get your dancing shoes on again, boys and girls."

Great fun, friendly crowd… could be a smaller venue? Make it more intimate?

  • What is it?

by DayFeverDream on 06/10/2024Sheffield City Hall Ballroom - SheffieldRating: 3 out of 5

I thought the music might be a bit more Indie. It was like a very odd wedding. It had periods of decent music but generally I thought the music was awful. Very mixed up and very cheesy. I went with all intention of not drinking but I actually needed to asi wanted to start to see if it improved/see what the fuss was about. I like the idea of it being early and going home early. But unless they did a "genre day" eg Indie Disco etc I wouldn't go back. Sorry!

Great afternoon event and a brilliant idea for people who don't want to stay up late Good music with tune after tune of dance floor fillers but I personally and my friends would have liked a bit of funk and soul choooons thrown in as well

  • Will not be back

by Disappointed on 15/09/2024O2 Academy Edinburgh - EdinburghRating: 3 out of 5

First time at Day Fever , will not be back. We were really looking forward to having a wee dance to disco music during the day. Arrived for 3 o'clock kick off music was good ( our era as they say). The first DJ played good disco music (although would've been better if there was more 80/90 music e.g Earth Wind and Fire, Michael Jackson , Frankie goes to Hollywood) but when it changed to the guy DJ we were not impressed, his choice of music was not great , it was more for younger people , not for the over 30s as far as we were concerned. Ok they have to cater for everyone but we expected the music to be in the region if 70/80 and 90s. We left at 6.00 so no idea if it ever got better !

  • Good fun

    by JDP on 11/08/2024O2 Institute2 Birmingham - BirminghamRating: 4 out of 5

A great idea. Good fun. A more mature crowd having the best time so no idiots pushing and shoving! Mostly good music. There was an hour of less well known stuff which dampened the atmosphere a little. DJ should have stuck with popular classics for dancing and singing too. No Vicky Mclure DJ'ing which was disappointing.

It was a great event. However, the music in the second half was not what I was expecting. Being aimed at 40-70 year olds, I thought the music would cater for that age group but instead it was like being in a regular club for 18-30 year olds!!! I spoke with someone else who travelled a long way to be there, who had the same view.
