About
London-born indie rockers return to the UK in 2026
Following a triumphant year of live shows across 2025, The Boxer Rebellion return to select stages as they release The Second I’m Asleep on 27 March 2026 – an album that captures the band in full bloom.
These 10 songs map the emotional landscapes of life – moments of clarity in chaos; letting go of old ghosts; and the art of understanding ourselves in a rapidly-changing world.
Recorded over an intense creative burst the sessions were built on a clear challenge: to emphasise instinct over analysis and create music with energy, spontaneity, and truth. Nathan Nicholson, Adam Harrison, Piers Hewitt and Andrew Smith have delivered a musical statement that is vital, unfiltered, and human. Nicholson’s iconic vocals weave ear-catching melodies through the band’s precise and powerful soundscapes, resulting in an album of glorious colour and grace.
A great deal of time and energy has been spent ensuring the sonics of the album are as meaningful as its message, with the band enlisting the talents of world-class engineers Rees Broomfield, Billy Bush and Kevin Grainger to deliver a record that sounds magnificent whether played on your car stereo or top of the range speakers.
The seventh album into an extraordinary journey – one marked by global tours, film and TV appearances, and a devoted global following – The Second I’m Asleep isn’t just The Boxer Rebellion’s homecoming, it’s an evolution. The band will be playing songs from their new album and catalogue during a brief UK stint in 2026 which will see them play in Glasgow and Bristol before a homecoming in London.
