About

Hannah Laing, Queen of the Doof

Hannah Laing started DJing at 18 years old. Growing up in a household that loved rave culture, she was deeply influenced by the house and trance sounds that would shape her career. As she was cutting her teeth in the local scene, she took up working as a dental nurse during the day while playing at clubs in her hometown Dundee, Scotland at night.

In 2019 her bootleg of Sophie Ellis-Bextor's 'Murder on the Dancefloor' garnered support from top DJs like FISHER and Peggy Gou, bringing Hannah Laing wider recognition.

Her time as a resident DJ in Ibiza, performing at world-renowned clubs like DC-10, Amnesia, and Hï, helped Hannah develop a loyal, dedicated fanbase and gave her the space to craft her signature style.

Since 2021, Hannah has been rapidly ascending through the ranks with releases on major labels like Jax Jone's WUGD, Solardo’s Sola, Patrick Topping's TRICK, and Spinnin' Records. Her 2023 single 'Good Love' with RoRo accumulated millions of streams and became her first UK top 10 hit.

Following the single's success, Hannah Laing launched her own record label Doof in 2023. The creation of Doof marks a major milestone in Hannah's career, as it allows her to showcase not only her music but also emerging talent in the UK dance music scene.

In the Summer's of 2023 and 2024, Hannah Laing performed at some of the biggest festivals across the UK, including Creamfields, TRNSMT, and Glastonbury, further establishing herself as a major force in the electronic music world. Her high-energy sets, combining hard house, bouncy techno, and rave elements, continue to captivate audiences.

Hannah Laing's 2024 EP, Into the Doof, showcases her unique sound. Released under her own label, Doof, the EP is a reflection of her evolving style and a testament to her growth as both a DJ and producer.

2024 continues to see Hannah build momentum. She's hosting her own curated Doof night at The Warehouse Project in Manchester and an homecoming gig in Dundee; Doof in the Park.
