The highly anticipated nationwide debut tour from one of comedy’s fastest rising stars.
Multi-hyphenate Eddie Kadi is a British-Congolese comedian, presenter, and actor, celebrated for his cross-cultural humour, vibrant personality, and enduring efforts to uplift African comedians in the UK and beyond.
Kinshasa-born, Fulham-raised Eddie Kadi is known for his distinct comedic style and knack for observational humour, which deftly marries African and British influences. Drawing from his experiences as an immigrant in the UK, Kadi blends family dynamics and social issues with relatable, light-hearted humour that resonates with diverse audiences all over the world.
Eddie’s first foray into comedy came in the early 2000s whilst studying Media Technology at Kingston University. Having been roped into hosting the African Caribbean Society’s talent showcase, Eddie Kadi discovered a passion for stand-up, which led to him performing at local clubs and university events. His lively stage presence and authentic, family-oriented humour soon found an audience, and Kadi made comedy his full-time career. In 2006, he was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Black Comedy Awards.
In 2010, Eddie Kadi became the first Black comedian to sell out London’s 13,000-capacity O2 Arena. As a presenter and media personality, Kadi’s charismatic presence has made him a sought-after host for the 2012 Olympics basketball games, the MOBOS, Afro Nation Festival, the BRITS, and more. Elsewhere, Kadi has appeared as a contestant on 2023’s Strictly Come Dancing, and as the host of BBC Radio 1’s Afrobeats Chart Show. A proud supporter of African music, he has also toured as a host with Wizkid, Lauryn Hill, Nas, Burna Boy and more.
Notably, Kadi’s career achievements extend far beyond the worlds of comedy and entertainment. He is heavily involved with several charitable organisations focussed on improving education and healthcare in Africa, whilst also serving as a positive role model within the African diaspora.
