First time seeing the Bluebells live & they interacted all night with audience, played a great set list and felt as though they were fans themselves having a good night
Venue: PJ Molloy's in Dunfermline is a really great little place. Small enough to get up close and personal with the band, excellent sight lines. Welcoming and with relatively inexpensive drinks-unusual in a music venue these days. Will be back. Band: Scottish jangle-pop royalty, The Bluebells need no introduction. The core trio of the McCluskey brothers Ken and David with Robert "Bobby Bluebell" Hodgens were augmented by two excellent guitar players and bass. Set: almost two hours on stage playing songs from their two major albums along with some well-chosen covers. The old hits like Cath and Young at Heart had the whole place singing. Impossibly catchy songs! The rapport between the band and the crowd was fantastic throughout. After the show was over, the band was happy to talk to the fans and sign the (reasonably priced) merch, set lists and posters. T-shirts were only £20! Everybody left PJs with smiles on their faces. Looking forward to seeing The Bluebells again next year at Glasgow's Barrowland!
