Celtic Football Club | Champions of Scotland Celtic Football Club are the reigning Champions of Scotland and have won 52 league titles, 20 league cups and 40 Scottish cups. The clubs biggest achievement came back in 1967 when Jock Steins side defeated Inter Milan to lift the European Cup, to become the first British team to lift the trophy. Founded in 1887 with the purpose of helping eradicate poverty in the East End of Glasgow, the name Celtic was given to reflect both the clubs Irish and Scottish roots. On 23 May 1888, Celtic played their first official match, a 5:2 victory over Rangers. In 1903 the club adopted their now iconic green and white hooped shirts which are still worn today. Celtic Park is the home to Celtic Football Club and boasts a capacity of 60,000. Situated in the East End of Glasgow, it is the largest football stadium in Scotland and 6th largest in the UK. Fondly known as Paradise by Celtic supporters, Celtic Park is renowned for its incredible support and legendary atmosphere during both domestic matches and on European nights. It is the best atmosphere in Europe and we all want to experience that again - Lionel Messi PREMIUM MATCHDAY PASSES: lanyards must be worn. Dress code: no blue denim trousers or skirts.
