The Yorkshire-born artist announces sophomore album and Life On Mars tour

Get the album WEIRD! here

Born and raised in Doncaster, YUNGBLUD is the stage name of Dominic Richard Harrison. Inspired by artists such as the Arctic Monkeys, Eminem and The Cure, YUNGBLUD used music to explore his feelings of loneliness and solitude.

In 2018, he released a self-titled EP ahead of his debut album, 21st Century Liability. This collection was the result of his drive to create meaningful music with confrontational and provocative lyrics. Songs like Die For The Hype, Anarchist, Medication and Machine Gun (F**k The NRA) boldly tackled political and social issues.

In October 2019, YUNGBLUD released the underrated youth EP, which debuted at No.6 on the UK albums chart. Imagine Dragons’ frontman Dan Reynolds made a guest appearance on the song original me. Later that year, Die A Little appeared on the soundtrack for the third season of the Netflix show 13 Reasons Why. He also collaborated with marshmello and blackbear to release the track Tongue Tied.

His high-octane performances saw Clash Magazine describe YUNGBLUD as “magnetic”, speaking of an “addictive nature that pulls fans closer and closer, demolishing the line between artist and crowd”.

Originally set for 2020, his Occupy The UK tour dates in Nottingham, Glasgow and London were rescheduled for March 2021. He also confirmed appearances to support Biffy Clyro at Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park on 25 June 2021 and to perform at the 2021 Reading & Leeds Festival.

On 23 October 2020, YUNGBLUD announced the huge autumn 2021 Life On Mars UK tour, in celebration of his sophomore record WEIRD!, due for release on 4 December 2020.

“These shows are going to be double the energy, double the emotion, double the passion,” said YUNGBLUD of the dates that include a stop at London’s Alexandra Palace and a hometown show at the Doncaster Dome. “These are biggest rooms I’ve ever played so be expecting a spectacle.”
