About Wyclef Jean

Rapper, musican, actor and Grammy Award winner Wyclef Jean first found fame as a member of hip hop group the Fugees. Following the worldwide success of the Fugees second album The Score, Wyclef Jean released his first solo album The Carnival in 1997 – the album featured the other members of the Fugees and achieved multiple platinum sales, as well as being nominated for a Grammy for the single Gone Til November.

Following the album's release, Wyclef turned his attention to producing and worked on tracks for artists including Destiny's Child, Whitney Houston, Black Eyed Peas and Sinead O'Connor. His second solo album, The Ecletic followed in 2000 and featured the Mary J Blige duet 911 and achieved platinum status.

Since then he has released a total of 11 more studio albums – including his most recent release, 2018's Mystery. In 2012, Jean published his memoir Purpose: An Immigrant's Story.
