World-renowned figure skating duo
Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, best known as simply Torvill & Dean, are world-famous figure skaters and former British, World, European and Olympic champions. The duo sprang to fame at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo when their routine to Maurice Ravel's 'Bolero' not only won gold but set a new record for the highest score ever achieved for a single programme. Incredibly, they bettered their Olympics score of 12 6.0s and six 5.9s at the 1984 World Championships when they scored 13 6.0s and five 5.9s. It also launched an astounding run that saw the duo finish no lower than first place in any competition over the next 10 years, ending with a bronze at the 1994 Olympics.
Torvill and Dean retired from competitive figure skating after the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics but their fame continued, thanks to a series of artistic collaborations and regular TV appearances. The duo danced to Paul Simon songs with the English National Ballet, teamed up with cellist Yo-Yo Ma, toured with Stars On Ice and appeared in a pantomime of Cinderella at the Manchester Opera House. In 2014 and 2024, they returned to Sarajevo to mark the 30th and 40th anniversaries of their remarkable achievement at the 1984 Winter Olympics. From 2018 onwards, they were the head judges on the TV series Dancing On Ice. In 2024, they announced their retirement from performing with a final tour entitled 'Our Last Dance'.
The whole event from start to finish was so well coriographed. The Skaters performances were spectacular funny and funny keeping your eyes gripped to what was happening on the ice. The occasion and the telling of their stories of their life's work had you captured from the start . My wife and I totally enjoyed the whole spectacular event.
Great show ,however getting in the arena took far too long. Should open gates earlier. Could not get to use the loo or get a drink .
Absolutely breathtaking and amazing if you get a chance to go do so it is absolutely epic.
Waited over a year since booking this event and it was well worth the wait and travelling to it. Absolutely loved it was great to see all the professionals there from dancing on ice too. Fantastic show!
Wonderful show,you forgot they were actually on skates a lot of the time as the dancing was so smooth and appeared effortless. All so entertaining with the dancing on ice family creating alot of the scenes with their faultless skating and lovely costumes.Amazing that Torvill and Dean can still skate in the same unison and with the same chemistry they had 50 years ago and be so fit as athletes to put on such a great show.

Really enjoyed our evening. Great experience. Very poignant as we will never see this event being performed again. Good view of the performance.
I bought this for my mum as it's her 80th Birthday in June. She's been to see them at least 8 times before, so I didn't want her to miss their final dance! We had rink side seats, so an amazing view. She really enjoyed it and it brought a tear to her eye knowing this would be the last time she'd see them live!
Very easy to find our seats at the arena. The show was fabulous, I have always wanted to see Torvill and Dean since the early 80's. I was not disappointed. It was good to see how they got together and a blow by blow account of their career. Thoroughly enjoyed it. It was easy to get out after the show and straight to the station and then onto a train. Brilliant
The show was really good, funny in an parts. The skating was excellent as was the atmosphere. Just a bit hot where we were sat. Then obviously being a female the queses for the loos.
What an amazing show didn't want it to end. Can't believe it's the last time we will see Torvil and Dean skate.
Incredible skating and lovely to see the other professionals some from Dancing on Ice too. Good combination of new dances and old favourites. Felt quite emotional after Bolero. So glad we made the trip to see it.

Well we expected nothing less from the masters of their craft. From start to finish, the show was spectacular. Loved every minute, very emotional at the end but thank you Jane and Chris for being shining examples of true professionalism.

A FABULOUS show, packed full of Torvill and Deans 50 years journey throughout their skating career. They haven't lost their expertise on the ice and the skaters that accompanied them were amazing. So sad that they are retiring, but fully understand why. Thank you for all these years of suberb entertainment.
Amazing show covering their ice dance careers from the very beginnings. T&D dancing some of the most famous and memorable routines from their competitions. Joined by a cast of brilliant ice dance professionals making an evening not to be missed. Sorry to see you leave Jane and Chris.
