Tom Seals

About

Highly regarded jazz and blues pianist

Cheshire-born singer, songwriter and acclaimed pianist Tom Seals started young, playing in a wine bar in Nantwich. He formed the Tom Seals Band in 2014, playing jazz and blues festivals around the UK.

In 2018, Seals joined CC Smugglers after opening for them on tour. During his time with the old-timey jazz, country and boogie woogie band, he played festivals around the world and shared stages with major acts.

Seals released his 2017 debut EP Where I’m At (Live) while studying at Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Seals put his studies on hold after the EP hit No.1 on the UK Blues Charts. He followed this with live performances with Jamie Cullum and Gregory Porter and a slot at Jools Hollands’ Boogie Woogie & Blues Spectacular.

In 2020, Seals released his debut single, Black Coffee, which scored him another No.1 on the UK Blues Charts. That Christmas, he collaborated with Atomic Kitten’s Natasha Hamilton on the No.3 single I Can’t Wait To Spend Christmas With You.

During lockdown, Seals kept jazz and blues fans entertained with his socially distanced duets with stars including Matt Lucas, KT Tunstall and Jay Rayner. His second EP Live At Jazz FM arrived later that year.

In 2021, Seals debuted Tom Seals Presents, a Sky/Showcase series where he interviewed famous figures about their three favourite songs. Guests included David Coulthard, Russell Watson and Ruby Turner, and each episode was later uploaded to Seals' YouTube channel.

In June 2021, Seals announced his debut UK theatre tour. Called The 45s Tour, he confirmed September and October 2021 dates, stopping off in Salford, Glasgow, Southend, Crewe, Malvern and London.
