About

The Bedford-born powerhouse vocalist

Tom Grennan is a songwriter with a purpose: to embrace, encourage and lift listeners with lyrical positivity, brightness – and sky-scraping choruses to sing to the rafters.

Grennan's love affair with music began early on. Growing up in Bedford, his parents fostered a love for artists like The Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, and Van Morrison.

As a teenager, Grennan honed his musical skills by performing in pubs and clubs. He caught the attention of the local scene, but it took a move to London (and the attention of producer and songwriter Fraser T. Smith) for Grennan to start truly finding his voice – blending the soulful influences of his youth with a modern, indie-rock sound.

In 2016, Grennan's breakthrough came with the release of his debut single, 'Something In The Water'. The song showcased his distinctive vocal range and knack for crafting emotionally resonant lyrics, and its success led to Grennan being featured on BBC's Sound of 2017 list.

A debut album came next, with 2018's Lighting Matches. The album's hit singles, including 'Found What I've Been Looking For' and 'Barbed Wire', solidified his status as a rising star and brought him to stages at Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds before 2021's breakthrough No.1 album Evering Road kept him there. The release of 2023's What Ifs & Maybes secured Grennan's second UK No.1 album. More widespread critical acclaim followed, as did his first headline arena shows in the UK.

After bagging multiple BRIT and Ivor Novello Award nominations, Grennan is readying to take things to a whole new level still with state-of-the-art pop album Everywhere I Went Led Me To Where I Didn't Want To Be and an accompanying arena tour in 2025. Keen to explore a new sound, Tom enlisted the songwriter and producer behind hits for Britney Spears, Linkin Park, Dua Lipa and Fall Out Boy and found in Tranter a collaborator who understood exactly what he wanted to say and what he wanted to sound like: George Michael, Prince, Freddie Mercury. “So much of the new music is uplifting — it makes you dance, makes you sing,” Tom says.

While the title alludes to a time when Tom faced challenges with his mental health, Everywhere I Went Led Me To Where I Didn't Want To Be is a positive album about self-belief and having the confidence to take risks. “This album is about me, revived. Now I'm at a place where I DO want to be. And I'm ready to blow people's heads off.”

It sees the evolution of one of UK’s most exciting talents at his creative best and is set to be a stunning addition to Tom Grennan’s already-impressive discography, which has seen him accumulate over 1.5 million album sales and 2.5 billion streams.

Tom was insane both at Silverstone and at In the Park: Newcastle! Both times he interacted with the crowd and got everyone on the feet and the crowds going! No one looked bored and he just knows how to get the crowd going! Cannot wait to see him again very soon!!!💗

  • Awesome event

by Breeze on 13/08/2024Gunnersbury Park - LondonRating: 5 out of 5

Loved this event. Unfortunately I wasn't prepared for the weather... had no hat, suncream or sunglasses... but that's on me. I wasn't enjoying the first acts as the sun was behind the stage. Price of drinks very very high 😕 I went for Tom and he didn't disappoint.

Special outside family occasion to watch a great selection of artists, culminating with the amazing Tom Grennan. Warm up acts - Liv Dawson, Mae Stephens and Caity Baser were outstanding and paved the way to enjoy Blossoms set. Third occasion to see Tom Grennan and was definitely an incredible performance, showcasing his passion, skills and inspirational lyrics. Festival finished with a spectacular fireworks display. Great location, well organised with great selection of food vendors and extensive bar stations.

  • Concert was amazing

Concert and venue was great. The only problem was leaving the venue when everyone had to squeeze through one small gate at the edge of the park when they could have opened the double gates, could course a crushing problem

by Welbobs on 12/08/2024Rating: 5 out of 5

I have waited 2 years to see Tom and he was so worth the wait. His fabulous belt it out voice, his rhythm and fab tunes made a worthwhile visit and I cannot wait to see him hopefully this year if I can. His voice, looks and songs so addictive and seems such a lovely down to earth guy.

  • Artists/Music superb, event org not so good

by steve on 12/08/2024Gunnersbury Park - LondonRating: 5 out of 5

Musically everything was fantastic, Tom Grennan was on top form as ever and the Blossoms were superb too. What let the event down was the poor organisation and the hugely disappointing VIP area. But i will review that with the organisers.
