Bridgend quintet Those Damn Crows are at the forefront of the new wave of Welsh hard rock, thanks to two high-charting records and sharing stages with some of the world’s loudest bands, from Skindred to ZZ Top.
Frontman Shane Greenhall, drummer Ronnie Huxford, guitarists Ian “Shiner” Thomas and David Winchurch, and bassist Lloyd Wood formed Those Damn Crows in the Welsh valleys in 2014. They quickly earned a formidable reputation and were named ones to watch by Planet Rock and Metal Hammer.
Their 2018 debut Murder And The Motive landed at No.5 in the UK Rock and Metal album charts. By 2019, they were appearing at Download on three separate occasions over the weekend. When they returned in 2020 with Point Of No Return, their popularity had exploded and the record peaked at No.14 on the UK album charts. Their third record Inhale/Exhale performed even better, climbing as high as No.3 in 2023. That same year, the band opened for rock royalty Hollywood Vampires at Scarborough Open Air Theatre.
