Born in London and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Thomas Headon rose to prominence through a series of cover versions on YouTube, paired with a distinctive sense of humour across his social media channels. Quickly building a digital following and moving back to London to fully pursue a career in music, Headon released his first original single, Grace, in September 2019. The video for the track featured over 100 videos submitted from across the globe – highlighting his already-dedicated fan base – and streams of the track rocketed.

Citing an eclectic list of influences including The 1975, Coldplay, Tyler, The Creator and Rex Orange County, Thomas Headon self-wrote and produced much of his early work, leading to the release of The Greatest Hits EP in March 2020. The record also featured his sophomore single, Clean Me Up, which secured over 250,000 streams in the first week of release and found instant popularity on taste-making social platform TikTok.

Working with manager, collaborator and longtime friend Max Margolis, the majority of The Greatest Hits came together in Headon's bedroom. Bouncing ideas back and forth with Margolis, it allowed him the opportunity to settle on his own sound. For his second EP, he looked further afield, enlisting a number of producers to further widen his musical direction.

In June 2020, Headon released double single Loving You and I'm Finally In Love, the first tracks to be taken from his second EP. They were quickly followed by Focus, accompanied by a video that continued to showcase his characteristic wry humour. Headon described the track as "weird", saying "It fits everything I’m making now perfectly."

Alongside new music, Headon announced a headline tour for 2021 including a show at London's Heaven.
