About

Back in the West End this Christmas!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar, by author and illustrator Eric Carle has delighted generations of readers since it was first published in 1969, selling more than 43 million copies worldwide.

Eric's well-known books captivated readers with his iconic colorful hand-painted tissue paper collage illustrations and distinctively simple stories, introducing generations of children to a bigger, brighter world - and to their first experience of reading itself.

The timeless classic has now made its way off the page and is back onto the West End stage this December.

Created by Jonathan Rockefeller, this critically acclaimed production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show features a menagerie of 75 lovable puppets, faithfully adapting four of Eric Carle stories: The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse, Mister Seahorse, The Very Lonely Firefly and of course, the star of the show - The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

  • Fantastic show

A fabulous show which captivated my 4 year old granddaughter - and the adults- throughout. It was performed at a perfect pace with colourful puppets which kept us all entertained until the end. We all loved it

  • Terrible show. Left early after 20 mins.

The show, aimed at young children, was dull, nil interactivity, no story and just terrible. My grandson, who is 2, and usually loves live entertainment, was not engaged from the outset. We left after 20 mins as it's not possible to keep youngsters sitting still and quiet if they're not interested. It was obvious that others were experiencing the same. By the time we left, there was no mention of the hungry caterpillar story! That's what we went to see. Strange. Complete waste of money on 4 tickets

  • Great Puppetry

We took our two granddaughters (aged 4 and 3) to the show yesterday. They were both enthralled which made easier by the fabulous puppets used and the different voices from the actors. It lasted just the right amount of time for this age group.

  • Nannas treat

My grandson was delighted. He loved the beautiful puppets.
