About

British blues rock band The Temperance Movement were formed in 2011 by Glasgow-born vocalist Phil Campbell and guitarists Luke Potashnick (ex-Rooster and Ben's Brother) and Paul Sayer. The line-up was then completed by former Jamiroquai bassist Nick Fyffe and Australian-born drummer Damon Wilson, who had previously played with the likes of Ray Davies, The Waterboys and Feeder.

The band released their first EP in 2012, and their eponymous debut studio album was released the following year.

Potashnick left the band in 2015, but a second album, White Bear, soon followed in January 2016.

  • Great gig

    by R 110 on 07/04/2025O2 Institute2 Birmingham - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

This was an excellent gig. The Temperance Movement were on top form cracking out banger after banger. Sam Palladio proved to be a superb warm up act. Just two small criticisms. It is a shame that the performances could not have started a little earlier as I had to leave to catch the train and why oh why were they not in a bigger venue!!!!!

  • My new favourite band

Really enjoyed the gig. The slower stuff not so much, but the music, singing and general vibe was fantastic.

  • Looking forward to seeing Temperance Movement

"The band" what an experience. Just has the first time I heard them play. What a joy . Please keep going. Total brilliance from start to finish. Even met Sam Palladio at the bar, great guy, good songs. With my three greatest friends who totally agree.🎸🤜🤛

Great sound. Hope to see more of them. Now I am just adding words to make the minimum character limit.
