Driving
By road, leave the M8 at junction 19 and join the westbound Clydeside Expressway (A814). Westbound on the Expressway (A814) take the cut off signposted SEC East. Turn left at traffic lights and take the right lane to access multi-storey parking.
Parking
A multi-storey car park operated by City Parking LLP is available for SSE Hydro visitors. Onsite pay machines are on the ground floor, or level 2 (walkway level) of the car park. Payment can be made by cash or credit/debit card on arrival or before departure.

Drop-Off, Pick-Up Point
An SSE Hydro drop-off/pick-up zone is located at the west of SEC Centre. A map to this is available on the SSE Hydro website.
The drop-off/pick-up zone runs an accessible transfer service to the SSE Hydro, dropping off within 130m of The SSE Hydro south main entrance.
Public Transportation
Train
The SEC and SSE Hydro has its own dedicated railway station (Exhibition Centre) allowing easy access from the city centre and suburbs. There are six trains an hour (around every 10 minutes) from Glasgow Central station, departing from Platform 17 (low level).
On disembarking at the Exhibition Centre, a lift is available to take you to street level. A covered walkway connects the station to The SSE Hydro.
Bus
The Riversider 100 service operates from George Square in Glasgow city centre directly to the SEC.
The X19 Stagecoach service operates near to the Scottish Event Campus, stopping on Finnieston Street only a few minutes’ walk from the venues.

The SSE Hydro box office opens one hour before doors to the arena opens and closes 30 minutes after the main act starts or at the end of the interval, unless otherwise stated.

Accessible Seating
Accessible tickets are available to book online, but for larger or more complex groups, please call our dedicated accessible booking line on 0800 952 0110.
The venue is easily accessible for visitors with mobility difficulties and accessible needs and currently holds an Attitude is Everything Gold award for access.
The first two floors of SEC Hydro are fully accessible with lifts and automated doors.
Important: There is no lift to the 3rd and final floor of the venue, there are stairs along with handrail assistance to gain access to this floor. Please take this into consideration when booking tickets. People with mobility issues are recommended to book tickets on the ground, level 1 or level 2 front, as these have lifts to access.
All Entry doors East, South and West into the Hydro are wide for easy access.
Broad, flat, accessible concourse
The venue has multiple accessible toilets and one fully equipped Changing Place with ceiling hoist, changing bed and height adjustable basin. Entry is by RADAR key visitors can use their own or ask a steward to unlock for them.

General Rules
The following policies apply to most events, but each event may differ, so please check the venue website event page for specific event policies. For full details of all venue policies see the venue website FAQs page.
Searching and security
All bags and visitors may be searched when entering the venue. Bags larger than A3 size (30cm x 42cm) are not permitted.
Age Policies/Restrictions
It is the recommendation of the venue that children under fourteen should not attend in the standing area at any event, unless accompanied by an adult. All patrons over five years old are welcome to attend in the seated section, unless otherwise stated by the event organiser. It is the venue’s recommendation that children under five should not attend concerts or events, other than those specifically aimed at younger visitors, i.e. children’s shows. Unless otherwise stated by the event organiser, the standard venue age advisory will apply.
Exit and Re-Entry
You may leave and re-enter the venue during the event, as long as you present your ticket for scanning each time.
Cameras
In general audio and video recording equipment and professional cameras (SLR types and those with detachable lenses) are not permitted into events. However, small non-professional cameras and phone cameras may be permitted, unless otherwise specified by the event organiser.
Special Effects
Special effects are used at many events and are controlled by the touring production team. If the use of certain effects concern you, or you would like further information on effects that may be used at a specific show, please email the venue.
Other restrictions
No food, drink, bottles or cans can be brought into the venue, other than for medical purposes (proof of need may be required).
Please note that Level 2 rear and level 3 is accessible by stairs only and may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties. May not be suitable for those who experience difficulty with heights or vertigo.
Children Rules
All children must have a valid ticket for an event, with the exception of ‘babes in arms’ (under 12 months) who may sit on a parent/guardian’s knee, unless otherwise stated by the event promoter.
Please check the age restrictions for each show.
We have a small number of booster seats available to borrow for events in The SSE Hydro and SEC Armadillo. These are allocated on a first come first served basis and may be fully allocated at popular family events. If a booster seat is essential to your visit, we would encourage you to bring your own to avoid disappointment.

Bar information
The SSE Hydro is home to an appetising selection of food and drink outlets.
On the ground floor there are a number of bars serving a selection of beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks as well as hot dogs, savoury and sweet snacks.
There are also four food offers exclusive to The SSE Hydro serving chip shop suppers, pizzas and nachos, burgers and chips, and show specific concepts.
Other facilities e.g. Cloakroom, Restaurants A cloakroom is available for most shows with a standing area. Items can be checked in for £2.00.
