Celebrating 20 spellbinding years on the West End stage, this magical live version of Raymond Briggs' much-loved children's classic has established itself as a festive family favourite that continues to delight audiences of all ages.
When a Snowman comes to life, he and a boy embark on a wintery wonderland adventure to the North Pole, where they dance with penguins, fly through a starlit sky, meet Father Christmas and escape the clutches of Jack Frost.
Twinkling with festive spirit, this wonderful mix of exquisite dancing, storytelling, enchanting sets, a flying Snowman and live music – including the beautiful Walking in the Air – is the perfect Christmas treat for all the family.

This phenomenally popular show, The Snowman returns to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. A magical concert designed for all the family, Raymond Briggs’s captivating film has established itself as part of the Christmas festivities for young and old, accompanied by Howard Blake’s score played live by the Irish Philharmonic Orchestra.
Suitable for young children, this is an opportunity for the whole family to share the magic of Christmas. Featuring Walking in the Air, and a selection of popular Christmas Songs, bring your jingle bells, wear your fancy dress, and make sure you book early!
Shay Byrne (RTÉ Radio 1’s Rising Time) will tell the story of James and the flying snowman as you watch the film on the big screen. This family Christmas show will also feature seasonal favourites from the talented children of several stage schools, adding to the spirit and excitement of Christmas.
