About
The Smashing Pumpkins announce The Aghori Tour
Alternative-rock pioneers, The Smashing Pumpkins, have announced a series of major UK headline shows as part of The Aghori Tour in August 2025.
The band bring their era-defining sound to four incredible venues with special guests: British rock legends Skunk Anansie and post-punk indie band White Lies.
Fans can experience the multi-platinum selling, two-time Grammy Award-winning band live in London at Gunnersbury Park on Sunday 10 August, TK Maxx presents Live at The Piece Hall Halifax on Tuesday 12 August, before heading to TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Wednesday 13 August, concluding at the scenic Colchester Castle on Thursday 14 August.
Since emerging from Chicago in 1988, The Smashing Pumpkins have remained one of the most influential and iconoclastic bands of all time, shaping alternative music and culture. Their distinctive fusion of rock, pop, shoegaze, metal, goth, psychedelia, and electronic elements has garnered over 30 million album sales worldwide, as well as two Grammy Awards, seven MTV VMAs, and an American Music Award.
The band – Billy Corgan, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin – has crafted a legendary catalogue that includes the platinum-certified Gish (1991), the quadruple-platinum Siamese Dream (1993), the diamond-certified Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (1995), the platinum Adore (1998), and the gold-selling Machina/The Machines of God (2000), 2023 release, ATUM, and Aghori Mhori Mei(2024), which marked a return to their signature rock sounds with guitars, bass, drums, and sharp vocals.
Famed for their electrifying and mood-driven sets, this is a rare opportunity for UK fans to witness one of the greatest alt-rock bands of the past three decades.
