About

A West End celebration for a good cause

The West End community is pulling together again. This November, The Show Must Go On! Live comes to The Palace Theatre for four special performances.

Organised by The Theatre Support Fund+ and Take Two Theatricals, this concert will feature the casts from & Juliet, Come From Away, Dear Evan Hansen, Everybody's Talking About Jamie, MAMMA MIA!, The Price Of Egypt, SIX The Musical, TINA – The Tina Turner Musical, Wicked and more. All profits are going to Acting For Others and The Fleabag Support Fund.

Luke Sheppard and Anna Fox have been tapped to co-direct The Show Must Go On! Live. Sheppard is the director behind & Juliet, which received nine 2020 Olivier Award nominations, while Fox’s credits include Guess How Much I Love You and Ghosts.

Stephen Brooker, who worked on Universal Pictures’ Les Misérables film and has conducted the Academy Awards, will serve as the musical director and conductor. Other creatives involved in the concert include Soutra Gilmour for set design, Neil Austin and Howard Hudson for lighting design, Finn Ross and Fray Studio for video design and Adam Fisher for sound design.

The Show Must Go On! Live will be the first show to re-open The Palace Theatre as part of Nimax Theatre’s autumn season of socially distanced shows.

“It warms the heart to see all these fantastic West End shows coming together to benefit our community,” said Nimax Chief Executive Nica Burns.

Complying fully with the government’s Covid-19 secure guidelines, The Show Must Go On! Live will have reduced capacity at The Palace Theatre to allow for social distancing. Other safety measures include hand sanitation, face coverings, track and trace, contactless tickets, temperature testing and deep cleaning at the theatre.
