About The Ocean at the End of the Lane

The Ocean At The End Of The Lane is adapted by Joel Horwood from Neil Gaiman's bestselling novel by the same name.

When a man returns to his childhood home, he finds himself standing beside the pond of the old Sussex farmhouse where he used to play. Transported to his 12th birthday when his friend Lettie claimed it wasn’t a pond, but an ocean… he's plunged into a magical world, where their survival depends on their ability to reckon with ancient forces that threaten to destroy everything around them.

Directed by Katy Rudd, The Ocean At The End Of The Lane is not only a spectacular and thrilling adventure, but a tour de force of storytelling and imagination.

Here's what the critics are saying:

"Monster-powered adrenaline spectacular" – Guardian

"Out of this world" – Daily Mail

"Makes you marvel at what theatre can do" – The Stage

"Neil Gaiman’s fantasy novel is brought to thrilling life." – The Times
