FAQS
The Mousetrap has a duration of 2 hours and 20 minutes including an interval.
Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap started in November 1952 at The Ambassadors Theatre in London and is now the world's longest-running show. Since moving to St. Martin's Theatre in March 1974, the play has kept its record-breaking streak, captivating audiences ever since.
The Mousetrap storyline draws loose inspiration from the real-life tragedy of Dennis O'Neill, a 12-year-old boy brutally beaten to death by his foster father, Reginald Gough, in 1945.
As word circulates about a London murder, seven strangers become stranded at a secluded countryside guesthouse due to heavy snowfall. When a police sergeant arrives, the guests are horrified to learn that a killer is among them. The suspense heightens as each suspicious character begins to unveil their sordid past.
The Mousetrap is suitable for children aged seven and above. Children younger than school age are not permitted in the theatre, and those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult to enter. Please note, each child must have a separate ticket for admission.
The Mousetrap begins punctually at the time indicated on the ticket (7:30 pm from Monday to Saturday, 3:00 pm on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday). The Bar opens one hour before the show, and the Auditorium opens 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
The Mousetrap wraps up around 9:50 pm (evenings) and 5:20 pm (matinees).
We recommend arriving at least fifteen minutes before the play starts so you can be comfortably seated and to ensure you don't miss out on anything or disturb other patrons.
The doors will open 30 minutes before the performance begins. You can enjoy pre-show drinks, snacks, and socializing at the Dress Circle Bar starting 1 hour before the performance starts.
