The National Theatre is situated on the South bank, adjacent to the National Film Theatre.


Underground parking nearby at a cost of £2.80* after 17:00 and £3.90* if attending a daytime ticketed event.(Only valid 10:00 - 18:00. The car park ticket must be stamped at the Lyttleton information desk, and presented on leaving the car park.) * prices are subject to review

The theatre box office is open Monday - Saturday 10:00 - 20:00

Box Office Collection Accepted

Tickets are available for collection from the National Theatre box office an hour before the curtain up. Customers must take credit card and Ticketmaster Reference Number.

No cameras or recording devices allowed.

Children Rules

Children are admitted but must be taken outside if they become noisy or restless. Please note that the majority of Lyttleton productions would not be suitable for children.


The venue consists of stalls, and circle. Capacity approx 890 Air conditioning - yes. Amplification for the hard of hearing - yes. DAY SEATS - 40 seats (20 on press nights) are sold from 10:00 on the day of the performance. Tickets may be limited to two per person. Latecomers will not be admitted until a suitable break in the production.
