About The La's
Formed in Liverpool in 1986 by singer/guitarist Lee Mavers and Bass player John Power, the La's released their debut single Way Out in 1987.
The following year saw the release of what has become their most famous track: There She Goes, but at the time the song failed to make a strong impression on the charts. Their self-titled debut album followed in 1990, to very strong reviews and the re-released There She Goes made it in to the UK top twenty.
Extensive touring followed, before the band retreated to record their follow-up album, but the record failed to materialise. Lee Mavers disappeared from public view, while John Power went on to form Cast, who enjoyed success as part of the Britpop music scene, but the La's reunited to perform live in June 2005.
With previously unheard songs included in the set, there may still be more to come from a band with so much potential
