About The Creeper

An enthralling psychological thriller set in the mid-sixties, The Creeper begins as a young salesman arrives at the house of a prosperous eccentric Edward Kimberly (Ian Richardson), in answer to an advertisement for a gentleman's companion. What follows is a compelling story of elegance, wit and tightening menace.

Making his long awaited return to the West End stage after an absence of eight years, Ian Richardson is perhaps best known for his sinister and stunning portrayal of Machiavellian politician Francis Urquhart in the House Of Cards trilogy for the BBC. Other memorable leading roles include Porterhouse Blue, Gormenghast, The Final Cut, Anthony Blunt in Blunt (opposite Anthony Hopkins) and Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy.

One of his generation's most talented stage actors, he has had a long and prestigious association with the RSC, appearing countless times with them, perhaps most memorably as Richard II. Ian took the title role of Marat in Peter Brook's seminal stage and film production of Marat Sade and was nominated for a Tony award for his portrayal of Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady on Broadway.

The show also stars Oliver Dimsdale, Alan Cox, Robert Styles and Harry Towb.
