The Book of Mormon has had West End theatre fans knocking on its door since 2013. Showing now in the Prince of Wales Theatre, the laugh-out-loud musical follows two Mormon missionaries, Elder Price and Elder Cunningham, as they work to spread the word of the church of the Latter-Day Saints. Based in a small town in Uganda, the Mormon pair attempt to navigate a new landscape while working on a mission to convert the inhabitants to their religion — with hilarious results.
With nine Tony Awards, multiple Olivier accolades, and a Grammy, The Book of Mormon is one of the most successful musicals of the 21st century. Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the minds behind the unfiltered comedy South Park, and Robert Lopez, co-creator of hilarious puppet musical parody Avenue-Q , The Book of Mormon will have you laughing out loud as it takes shots at organised religion, consumerism, the economy and the musical genre itself, with a message about the good of humanity at its core.

The nearest train station to The Princes of Wales Theatre is Charing Cross, conveniently located within a brief seven-minute walk.
The Piccadilly Circus Tube station is conveniently located, with just a short three-minute walk, to The Prince of Wales Theatre. Charing Cross and Leicester Square are also close by. Charing Cross serves the Bakerloo and Northern lines, Leicester Square caters to the Northern and Piccadilly lines, and Piccadilly Circus facilitates the Piccadilly and Bakerloo lines.
Buses 6, 9, 14, 19, and 38 (N9, N19, N38, and N97), stop at Piccadilly Circus, which is just a short three-minute walk to The Prince of Wales Theatre.
The closest park space to The Prince of Wales Theatre is MasterPark's car park at Whitcomb Street.

Accessibility at the Prince of Wales Theatre
Wheelchair access is available at the rear of the Stalls, accessible via the step free street-level foyer.
Patrons who need to remain in their wheelchair can be accommodated on the aisle of Stalls row U (removing seats U38-39) or on the aisle of row T (removing seats T39-40).
There are also a number of transferable seats available on the aisle such as Stalls J34. Wheelchairs and scooters can be stored in the foyer.The theatre itself has no parking facilities but there are disabled bays nearby on Rupert Street and Whitcomb Street.
There is an adapted toilet in the Delfont bar, accessible by the lift.

The Prince of Wales Theatre in the West End has been London's home to The Book of Mormon musical since it opened in 2013.
The running time of The Book of Mormon is 2 hours 20 minutes, including a 15 minute interval.
Conceived by the creators of South Park, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, along with Avenue-Q co-creator Robert Lopez, The Book of Mormon originated from the trio's shared interest in Mormonism. Raised in Colorado, Stone and Parker had numerous encounters with Mormons in their formative years. The collaboration took shape after they discovered Lopez's similar fascination with Mormonism following a visit to see Avenue-Q. Together, they teamed up to write The Book of Mormon.
Written by the creators of South Park, The Book of Mormon is a critically acclaimed musical that tells the story of two opposite Mormon missionaries, Elder Price and Elder Cunningham, spreading their faith in a small town in Uganda. As they try to convert the locals, the cultural differences lead to hilarious situations, and the missionaries soon realise they have a lot more to learn about the real world than they have teachings about the Church of the Latter-day Saints.
The Book of Mormon is recommended for adults and older teens and comes with a parental advisory for explicit language.

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by and sat next to a ticketholder who is at least 18 years old. Children under the age of 3 will not be admitted.

For evening performances starting at 7.30pm, the show will finish around 9.50pm. For matinee performances starting at 2.30pm, the show will finish around 4.50pm.
