About

A new dance extravaganza from the Strictly family

Television’s biggest and most beloved dance series has a brand new addition. Due to the success of Strictly Come Dancing – The Live Tour and Strictly Come Dancing – The Professionals, Strictly Presents: The Power Of Dance is hitting the road in summer 2022.

Directed and choreographed by former Strictly Come Dancing pro Trent Whiddon and his partner-turned-wife Gordana Grandosek, it features four fan favourite professionals along with two special guest stars showcasing every type of dance style seen on the popular BBC One show – ranging from Latin to ballroom and more.

Among the pros in the cast of Strictly Presents: The Power Of Dance is Welsh-born Amy Dowden, who made it to the Strictly final in 2019 with Karim Zeroual. Dancing since the age of eight, she remains one of the highest-ranking ballroom and Latin American professional dancers in the UK.

Also appearing is Janette Manrara, who first joined Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. Over the years she’s been paired with EastEnders star Jake Wood, pop singer Peter Andre, comedian Melvin Odoom, JLS member Aston Merrygold and Paralympic table tennis champ Will Bayley.

Rounding out the cast are Dianne Buswell (who made it to the final in 2018 with Joe Sugg) and Neil Jones, who has been on SCD since 2016. Born in a British Army Camp in Germany, Jones started dancing from a young age, making his first foray into ballet. In 2019, he made it to the quarter final with ex-footballer Alex Scott.

Before preparing for the new tour, the 18th series of Strictly Come Dancing kept these pros on their toes. In 2020, Dowden was teamed with Scottish Invictus Games medallist JJ Chalmers, Manrara was partnered with YouTube music sensation HRVY, and Buswell was paired with former member of The Wanted, Max George.

Full of storytelling and incredible choreography, Strictly Presents: The Power Of Dance will give each of these very talented performers the opportunity to share what it’s like to be a dancer. The tour kicks off in Tunbridge Wells on 22 June 2022, and then cha-cha-chas its way across the UK, wrapping up in Torquay on 22 July 2022.
