About Sex Pistols

The iconic punk rock band, formed in London in 1975, originally comprised vocalist Johnny Rotten, guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook and bassist Glen Matlock (later replaced by Sid Vicious). Although their initial career lasted only three years, the Sex Pistols, known from hits such as Pretty Vacant and God Save The Queen, have been described as "the definitive English punk rock band" and widely credited with initiating the punk movement in the UK.

The group, who split in 1978, first reformed for a world tour in 1996 and came back in 2002 to re-release God Save The Queen to coincide with the Golden Jubilee. Marking the 30th anniversary of the release of their only album, Never Mind the Bollocks, the original members will now reform to play London and Manchester in November.
